Socioeconomic class is honestly a way better stereotype than race. Like if I could only use one predictor about how someone played it would probably be how much they paid for their shoes.
Naw that's horrendously worse than race because you are very likely incapable of having a ****ing clue how much the man paid for his footwear. Like this guy Arthur has $1200 loafers he wears at the casino. How do you reconcile that with my rainbows or (sometimes) $9 sandals. Like....you have no clue what the true values are and therefore your (perhaps excellent) theory just breaks down because you do not have an adequate measuring device.

I think I just over adjusted to the leg-up, and didn't have a super solid read and decided to play it safe for whatever reason. And, the real overriding factor is that he's stuck and has some gamble with Q8s. The golf hat and convo is secondary. So my approach in making a read was wrong.

I use to reg/crush 20/40, had a software engineering gig for a while, contract is over, now getting back into it. I use to always 3bet or fold, but now I do just call on occassion. OTB this should've been an iso three bet. I plan post more hands in the future.

Food for thought:

On reflection, and I've been playing a lot of kill, the kill button will cost you about one small. The aside about position, and how much position you have the next hand is interesting, but USUALLY not relevant, because you'll have the position with the kill, or the position without the kill. The only exception being is that the kill takes the place of the big blind, where it's not much more of a burden at all. But, the net difference for the most part is the kill blind itself (minus the chance that you win the pot). So, if you're raised, and you have a kill, for example. You'll want to fold more hands than you may think, because you're not exactly getting +3:1 on your monies, since if you win, it's another kill anyway. This I think is the biggest leak concerning the kill in this game.

I play that "Minnesota 8/16 half kill" game fair amount too . I think a lot of the decision of whether to fold, smooth call or 3 bet has a lot to do with their impression of you too. Do you want to smooth call and build a big pot or 3 bet and try to limit the field? If people see you splashing, a 3 bet could just as likely bring a cap need to show down a winner vs limiting the field.

Some (action junkies) use the leg up to play inferior hands. We all know how stupid this is. However, I will rarely fold a hand that I wouldn't normally play just because I have the leg up. The only exception might be smaller pairs in a thin field where I am not likely to win a big pot before the kill hand.
