KK - turned set [m]OOP

6/12 7-handed
(Had to get a moo in there else BBB locks my thread...)

UTG limps, MP raises, I 3! KK from BB, UTG calls, MP calls.

Reads: MP - MUBSY, misses value. Likely thinks Im very aggro, and tries to slow me down some on the cheaper streets. (will raise once and check down with hands like 55 on a 973 board). His PFR% is on the low end; occassionally raises with WTF-hands when he's bored.

Flop: T98r

I bet, UTG calls, he raises, I 3!, UTG folds, he caps.

Turn: K
I bet.

Thoughts? - (Mine: I'm worried about it getting checked through if he has stuff like JT/KJ/AJ, though I'm not sure if he caps the flop with them. If I c/raise, I'm gonna be faced with QJ/discounted-76 more often than not. However, he does wait till the turn a reasonable amount of the time with a hand like QJ, which likely thinks I'm drawing dead.)

My plan on the turn: bet/call turn, lead river if board pairs.

Questions:
1. If I bet and he raises, do I have enough equity to 3!?
2. Any value in c/raising?

I 3b turn if raised. You can discount QJo and 76s, and eliminate J7 and 76o altogether.

How will you 3 bet if you check?

As you said, giving a free card would be lol pick up your chips and leave bad.

I can't see being mubs about the str8 ott when there is so many combos of bottom sets and wtf played AA in his range.

Re: KK - turned set [m]OOP

Ok, this is results oriented, but he just called down on the turn with his "presumable" set. Against these types of players, it's just hard to make money one way or the other right? He may MUBSY-check hands as good as JJ/JT, so I can't rely on him betting the turn.

It just upsets me that the most I can make in these spots is like 2BB after I catch my two outs.

Re: KK - turned set [m]OOP

if I'm behind I don't want to shovel bad money into the pot.(flop)

if Im ahead I want them to continue to. (flop/turn)

this gives me the best opportunity to get greedy on the river.

of course if they play badly (and it seems they do) or will never fold worse just pile it in and hope your best.

this villain seems perfectly capable of raising a limper with QJo 7 handed, no? That's 16 combos we're behind, v. 9 combos of flopped sets we are ahead of.

Absolutely bet the turn. Not sure if I'd 3-bet - a raise on the turn after all that flop action is more likely a straight than a set (because the read says he's MUBSY).
