I guess the point is if villains will get aggro with hands you beat you need to say in there, even if you're facing 3-bets cold. Vs nits and tight players the 3-bet should be enough to get you to lay it down as you're likely behind and drawing very thin.

I think going for a c/r makes the hand more difficult to play - but on the other hand it may help you make a better decision. I don't think I'd make it standard or anything, but probably good for mixing up your play in that spot.

Re: Just one of those days.

I hate a flop like this w/ aces OOP. Id rather bet the 3 bettor with information than have to call 2 cold w/o.

I have played hours with him and never seen anything less(utg+1). The other is a pretty tricky tag player who is a 15 reg. (button)

so heres the hand.
(the players mentioned are utg +1 and on the button.
I am in the bb.

the action goes. 4 limps to me in the bb. I look down to red AA and raise. Everyone calls.

NOTE: the sb mucked his hand weird and it flipped up a3o.

The flip comes 789 with two spades. I bet. UTG raises. Folds to Button who 3!. and I... fold?

At the time I was not sure if this was the right play or not, but i couldn't see any hand i was actually beating at the time and figured I was drawing way to slim with only 1 a left in the deck and it being the A of spades
So is anybody else ever folding this or am I much worse at poker than I thought?

lol thats the first thought i would usually have here but with the players who were betting and raising. I still feel pretty good about that fold.
