Re: June - We are in all ur tournament takin your bracelts (NC/LC)

I needled a random guy for the first time in a really long time, but I couldn't help myself.

8/16

Final board: T87-A-6 (3 players)
I donk the river from the BB with Q9. MP folds, button calls with his remaining 3 chips and shows me one card, the A.

Villain is a regular, a 50s white guy, wearing sunglasses and a hoodie and fancies him the table captain.

I table my hand and then he shows his other card, the 9.

Villain (talking to the players around him): "Wow. Dealer, can I get a heart one time? No wait, the 6. That would have been a lot of action."

I don't say anything. I've been quiet this whole time.

Villain: "Or the J. He would have gone a lot of bets with the J. That would have been sick. I would have got him good on that one".

Another hand goes by and I don't say anything.

Finally, after about a minute I look at him and say, "I think you're wrong."

Villain: "What? Did you say I'm wrong? We wouldn't have gone a lot of bets on the J?".

Me: "No."

Villain: "Huh? You make a big straight there, we'd go 4 or 5 bets at least."

Me: "I don't think so."

Villain, perplexed, "Well, why not???"

Me: "'cause you were all in."

Nice hand, Dr. J.
You should have seen me debating whether or not to call Leo.

Re: June - We are in all ur tournament takin your bracelts (NC/LC)

I made it to day two. I've only got about 6BB to start the day though with a little over 200 players left. I'm gonna need some run good to cash if anyone has any lying around that they'd like to send my way.

Highlights of day one:
Bill Chen on my direct left for most of the day. Luckily his limit game is pretty rusty.
I got to watch Marco tranello(sic) call 3 bets cold out of the small blind with KTs.
Ike Haxton was at my table as well and played decent for a nl player. I got to counterfeit his 88 with my AQ on a 9T3T9 board. The dealer was so new/bad that she announced my hand as Ahi and almost pushed Ike the pot.

pokernews and wsop.com use the same chip counts. During the tourney they only have the notables listed, and are only as accurate as their foot soldiers can provide. They usually list end of day chip counts and table draws at some point, which should be all inclusive, but I have also been unable to find any info on this. Obviously as the tourney gets smaller and there are 3 or under tables, they usually have everyone listed at that point.

Per the WSOP twitter feed, counts and table draws for everyone. http://t.co/xpiu5zWK

Re: June - We are in all ur tournament takin your bracelts (NC/LC)

I barely survived with 6,600, ran good early, but lost a big pot with QQ when A4 runner runnered the wheel.

Had an interesting spot late in level 7 when the stakes were 400-800 and I'm pretty sure I played it wrong now that I think about it

loosey looseball with about 13k open limps early, new guy to the table(6k) limps along and asian guy(13k) who was playing fairly snug raises from the small, I'm in the big with 5s4s and shortstacked with a little over 4k. I call obv, as does everyone else.

flop is Ah 8s 2s, asian guy cbets, if I raise and barrel off the best case is that I'm left with a few chips to get all in next hand. If he puts anymore action in it's pretty much my tournament life. So I decided to call and the limpers fold.

turn is Ad, asian guy bets and I call again and brick the river and muck to the river bet

my thoughts below
Spoiler:

thoughts?

Re: June - We are in all ur tournament takin your bracelts (NC/LC)

Turn raise is better than flop raise IMO

You have enough where it doesn't look like a desperation all in whatever and that you are trying to get max value for your hand.

One question and one comment. First, wassup with 8/16? Second, a 50ish year old guy decked out like that deserves whatever needling he gets.
