It needs to be bigger than a 4.

The big problem with calling the turn imo is that our two pair outs are completely demolished because we already have top two. It would be different if we had A4 and the flop was A72 with the turn 2.
Yup.

You're looking at the wrong post. The post I took the most issue with is the one that claimed typing up a response couldn't be done because he was one-handed, and the next few posts after about how he couldn't make it clearer.

He later admitted he was intentionally vague because he thought chillrob should know better. I'm actually okay with that - and I agree. It was a straightforward application of basic poker principles, chillrob should have figured it out on his own.

I'll further admit I deliberately don't post in ChocolateMoo's threads very often because I always spend effort posting variants of "you would do better to cut the FPS" and it devolves into an argument about his win rate. And if Jon was deliberately vague in CM's thread, I'm okay with that as well. CM is a longtime poster who has apparently won 30/60 money at 6/12 so maybe he's the real champion.

As long as Jon holds his promise to be more helpful to new players or new posters, I have no problem.

Except that the whole issue had nothing to do with me. I didn't post in the original thread, and I didn't bring up the issue here. I was just BEING HELPFUL by backing up Phunkphish and explaining how it could be seen as unclear after JL said he thought it was completely clear. As stated earlier, I figured JL probably was talking about the turn play, but guessed that CM interpreted it incorrectly.

This thread is in need of a little levity.

Did I tell you that last night, I had a hand that went like this?

The trailer was my A4s. The train was the second K coming on the turn.

Can you clarify if you were still sitting at your desk or not?

I hope JL stops posting, not sure why he does anyway when all it does its cost him time and $$

You guys should try texting with JonLocke. Eventually it becomes like the matrix, you don't even see it.

My point is that it isn't terribly helpful to less skilled players when someone just says, "I'm right. You figure it out."

A less skilled player has no way of knowing whether it's actually the right answer, much less why it is. You guys want really people to just accept that a particular poster's answer is right, and then figure out why?

That just doesn't seem like a good way to learn, if you ask me, and I would think it runs counter to the purpose of have a forum for discussing poker.
Naw I'm freaking awful.

We are on the same side of this issue. I just noticed his posts the last week or so have been missing the magical wtf autocorrected stuff we've been used to.

Just to clarify, I want intentionally vague. I just never considered the possibility that what I wrote could be considered vague at all. Also, Rob didn't say anything wrong, he merely answered how my post could be ambiguous as I honestly read it 10 times and had no idea I didn't specify what sorry I would fold. Agree with the rest of the stuff.

I've also been going back and editin some of my posts to make them
Meow reasonable. I apologize and will stop doing so
Edit: r read my post and that's actually how it came our. Own of the toughest things about law school was when it came time to study for finals and I went back to read my notes and outlines and had no dies what I typed lots of the time.

Is "meow responsible" more or less vague? That post is pretty vague about it

Foxwoods 4-8 yesterday, never-played-in-a-casino-player has the usual how much can I bet etc questions, loses his $200 after a couple of hours and on the last hand was all in and $8 "short". Loses the hand and as he stands up to walk away pulls a $10 out of his wallet, holds it out to the guy who won the pot and says "I owe you $8, right?"

Readability isn't a huge issue IMO. As long as newer players don't get the attitude that "good player says X is obvious so i wont question it," it's fine.
