76 suited has two problems:
1. If it ends up heads up, it has no showdown value and the pairs it flops are too often second best hands.
2. If it ends up multiway, it basically never has its fair share of equity (87 suited is the lowest hand that reliably captures its fair share of equity).
I am not going to tell someone not to raise it from the button, and even I raise it bvb, but let's put it this way-- if you pulled it OUT of your cutoff or hijack raising range, I doubt it would cost you a cent of EV.
