I put as much money in every opportunity I could when I was ahead and then checked back the river when behind, since the river improved tons of hands in what I perceive his 3b range to be, for some reason he consistently decided to play back at me over the course of the session. We have had tons of hands this session vs. each other, and villain (Hero) had tried a ton of check raises vs me. I think the move is to bet the river, because I would have bet if I had QQ or KK, but if my holdings that make sense based on my 4bet and the rest of the hand are AA KK QQ AK, there is more value in just leading the river, and possibly getting raised by a set, and a crying call from AK AA. This is easy for me to say, but he should have a much better read on me than is expressed in the orignal HH. I am extremely TAG ABC when I play 4/8, since there is very little room for fancy play in a game that is almost always 5 to the flop for a raise. I came over from the 10/20 when it broke that day and had only been at this table for about 2 hours, but we have played together many times before, and should have a good understanding of how I play. The majority of people in this game are like most 4/8 players completely brain dead, and the most correct line is to fold ATs OOP rather than pump a ton of money into the pot against the other winning player at the table, and move on to the next hand where you can play against the 6 other players who play with a complete lack of even a basic strategy.
