WTF food is free at the tables? How do you guys not inform me of this? Like the third meal I've eaten here and I just find this out now...

If you are playing in a game 20/40 or bigger at Commerce and ordered from the waitstaff, they just bring it to you and don't charge you, I don't know how you could have ended up being charged for it even if you didn't know...

I went and ate at the snack bar that is how.

Wish me luck off to take a shot at the 40.

Ooof! Just in the last week there has been discussion in the Commerce thread right here on 2+2 about how food at the table is still free, but will no longer be so starting in a few weeks. Do your research, man!

It's the same for all the SoCal poker rooms. IMO, Commerce probably has the worst food of all, so it's uphill from now if you play at any other room.

Fortunately, we're not among the 1000s that lost power due to falling trees/limbs. I made sure of this by purchasing the last generator at the local Home Depot yesterday afternoon. The sales lady told me that they'd sold 40 of them that day, but added, "We're getting 50 more delivered tomorrow." She seemed disappointed when I told I her wouldn't need another one.

And jesse- the only justification for running those distances is if you're being chased or chasing something. Otherwise, just cab it.

40/80 at HG is go. I'm the idiot with $1700 in front of him wondering why he only brought 3/4 of a chair

For someone that plays recreationally, you sure play a lot.

Funny - I stopped and played for a few hours this morning on my way out of town. The 40 wasn't going but I took a rack out of the 20. Props galore - game was nummy.

Place was interesting - total dump from the outside. But the tables / chairs / chips were way better than LAs friendliest. I liked it.

I didn't know they ever got a 40/80 game going there - are they propping it?

I think I played with this guy, at least everyone at the table was calling him Judge. If it's the same guy, I've never met someone who felt so entitled to win a pot. Every time he lost a pot he'd shout, swear and berate the other player. He seemed a bit smug when he won too.

That's just like coincidence, right?

Spoiler:
Yes. Yes, it is.

Had a conversation about how they're stopping the food at Commerce. Apparently they used to offer it to the 8/16 tables too and ppl would bring their family tree

This eventually divulged into buying an RV and living in the Commerce parking lot

When I was a kid waiting to drink from the water fountain and the kid in front of me was drinking too long, I'd say "dude, leave some for the fishies!".

Leave some for the fishies.
