Don't get me wrong, I think it's good that you're willing to step out there with a razor thin edge and try to make it work. It just surprises me.
I've made my peace with 98 suited.

I can't see myself doing this (raising a bunch of limpers with 98s) anymore. It was another play I made often in the old days - but looking back on it I feel like it is really easy to get yourself in trouble this way. The logic of the play still makes sense to me, assuming it involves the fact that you are building a big multi-way pot when you have a good multi-way hand in position. But it also feels like a spot where you can find a lot of trouble even with excellent postflop play.

So, the early results are in! I have played two, admittedly short, sessions at Hustler this week and am definitely feeling good to be back. It helps that both sessions have been wins - and I know that can't keep up forever. Still a nice start though.

I wish I had some interesting hands to discuss but other than paying off with middle pair out of the big blind against a middle position raiser nothing too interesting happened. That hand reminded me of one of my occasional leaks in LHE, which in the past was to overestimate how likely it was that the raiser was firing with just overs.

Sorry I have been quiet for a few days. I was traveling a bit and dealing with a cold. I have played two more sessions since I left this thread and they have continued to go well. I know it can't last forever but I am really enjoying starting out on such a great upswing.

I played at Bay 101 on Sunday night on my way home from San Francisco. It might have been the best game I ever played in.

I am also starting to incorporate some of the advice I have seen here and in other threads. I am doing so slowly so I can really take note of what works and what doesn't for me. But it has been incredibly helpful. Thanks everyone!

I think the first fold was probably wrong and the second fold was probably still correct, but I would not have made either of them 7 years ago.
QJs UTG fold? I don't mind it.

KQo to a raise from early position? Anyone liking the 3 bet line?
