Is this the LHE equivalent of 27TD where you pick up KJT722, decide to drop the K and draw 1, and then snow the rest of the hand? Maybe Jon_Locke or DeathDonkey could explain the expert play of 65s as a TD analogy.

Isn't the real expert play to let him pick exactly one card for $5.

I'm about 5 episodes behind. Can you give me approximate time stamp so I can see what it was about?

No equal, nor equivalent, exists.

Talking about your apparently amazing fantasy football team and about you sending the wpt/pokernews guy (Ryan) tweets about something or another.

LOL.. my kids had school, but most of the other schools around here were off as well. I went to work as did 2/3 my co-workers. I got to work about 5 minutes faster than normal because there was no traffic..lololool

Had to change my route home because many f the side streets I take before getting on the highway were flooded and actually closed. Still got home in nearly the same amount of time.

People around here totally freak when the waters fall from the sky.

A statistically numerate NFL player!

Michelle Tafoya of NBC asked Tony Romo how he explained his team being 7-0 on the road. Romo replied that he'd need to play a larger number of games before he could draw any conclusions about it.

Shouldn't that have been a technical? Similar to knocking the ball away from the inbounding player? Ok not really similar to that but GS would surely get one if Curry threw it at Chandlers feet and tripped him while running down the court

I hear game theory optimal basketball is better than exploitative basketball anyway.

Why is the 6/12 at AJ's sooo much better than Bay 101? In fact, Bay 101 might be the worst 6/12 I have played in to date.
12-16-2014 , 04:22 PM
Probably because the gambollers there are playing 8/16 instead.
12-16-2014 , 04:40 PM
The same room has 6/12 and 8/16? That's nuts.

Move down to where they don't respect your raises.

That's always wrong. Move up to where they don't respect your three bets.

3/6
6/12
8/16 half kill
20/40

It's actually a better ladder than

3/6
6/12
15/30

Which is what AJs / Oaks / Cal Grand do.

It's possible a ladder like

2/4
4/8
8/16
20/40

Could work if they lowered the drop for 2/4.

I was in Tahoe over the weekend and played some 3/6

I got berated for checkraising.

Old man to a buddy in a small LHE game in Las Vegas long ago, after buddy check-raised:

"You dirty sandbagger! Bet your hand like a man!!"

I tried to make my location moving up to where they don't respect my raises, but it wouldn't fit.

Like others have said, the gamblers are playing the 8-16 (I've only been down to Bay 101 a couple of times in the last two years and the 8-16 was always rocking), also the AJ's 6-12 gains action because of the jackpot/promo chasers.

Funny thing, the AJ's game more or less killed the LC 6-12, but LC gets a bunch of 1-1-2 NL games going whereas AJ's is lucky if they can start 1 (weekdays, BTW, can't speak to the weekends)

ETA: Regarding the checkraising etiquette, some of the AJ's regulars so love their chopping that if it folds around to the button and the button raises, the right combo of SB/BB will make some type of comment.
