Commerce 8: LOL Freecardaments
5 people limp in and I raise black JJ in the SB. BB (30 yo loose and angry persian man) calls. 7 ways.
Flop 345ddh. I bet, BB raises, 2 coldcallers, I 3bet, BB caps, coldcallers coldcall again.
Turn 4c, I check and it gets checked around.
River 5s, I check, BB sprays out a bet and gets 1 caller. I overcall.

Re: Commerce 8: LOL Freecardaments
If BB is raising for a freebie, oop, with five opponents behind him, then he's loose, angry and stupid. If he then caps the flop for a freebie with two opponents that have already called two cold, then he's beyond stupid.
If he didn't ride the short bus to the casino, it's hard to imagine a hand he'd play this way ott. Perhaps 53, fearing he just got counterfeited by your overpair and is avoiding your c/r?
ETA: It goes without saying that 44 is another hand he could play like this.

I can see him playing 66 this way too - maybe a larger pair, and also 56 especially if it's 5 6 .
Fwiw I would bet the turn.

Re: Commerce 8: LOL Freecardaments
I think I play it the same, although I haven't played a ton of live LHE. I guess another option is to lead the turn

Depending on the table dynamics, I might raise the river. Most of the time I think I play it the same way.

Confirmed people play like that at commerce. I think that's why I can win the 8/16 there.

Re: Commerce 8: LOL Freecardaments
Let me guess, BB showed the ole A6 ball, after he capped the flop w/ an OESD for a free card, and then tried to bluff on the river against 3 players with the bet laying 15:1 odds for everyone.
I really hope this happened, I might have to go for a west coast trip if it's true.

Re: Commerce 8: LOL Freecardaments
My issue with the river call is not villain's range (confirm young angry Commerce Persians often play this way). It's the fact someone else has called on a double paired board after calling down the entire hand. Are you really putting this guy on a naked 3 or 66?

Reason: Tho a naked 3 would be pretty lol

Re: Commerce 8: LOL Freecardaments
Honestly I think you played it less fine. A bit less flop action might be OK and a turn donk, but this line seems OK against unknowns.
