I was in the merge nightly $215 a little over a year ago while flying to Seattle for a job interview. Since I started while taking off, I didn't think I'd run into time constraints.

Sure enough, the WiFi on the flight shuts off when I'm 2nd in chips w/ 11 left (winner gets like $4k or something). That's annoying, but when I can connect to 4G, I'm still a middle stack.

Then the tilt happens:

I open KK, SB calls BB calls.

Flop J72 or something.

Checks to me and...I disconnect. By the time I reconnect, I see both of my opponents had gotten it in on the turn w/ top pair.

Few orbits later, I open AJ, get called. Flop a J, disconnect again. Lose the pot, now I'm the shortie.

I jam in KJ a few hands later and run into KQ. I hate tournaments.

You mean you hate online poker.

That kind of stuff is why I never understood how people played really big cash gamesor tournaments online. I have never had an internet connection that was reliable enough that things like that didn't occasionally happen.

Some people have internet that is slightly more reliable than in-fight wifi. Not those of us with Comcast, but other people.

Play hundreds or maybe thousands of hours on Stars, put up with disconnect issues maybe once? Twice? Fewer hours on US sites, still no issue.

I was playing 100-200 deuce online last week and my son turned off my computer mid midhand.

He made up for it other day when I was playing 30 holdem on my phone and be swipes it to call 3 with 2-7o in BB. It gets capped and gin the Q87 flop. k turn checked through and I get to 3 bet 7 River.

So he's out of makeup

Plus the likely sick image you possessed for the rest of the session.

When my older son was born, I probably played 50k hands one-handed while feeding / rocking / holding him. I timed out so often and was so sleep-deprived there was a noticable drop in my winrate.

Hmm, I guess it was because I had Comcast then... used to have to get a new modem every year, and still had lots of disconnects.

That's awesome.

We used to have this little cat that used to sit in my lap while grinding. Certainly there were people who had some that_pope quality notes on me based on the cat deciding to dance on the keyboard. Good thing about minbet, if the cat takes a strange line it can't cost you a stack.

Nice.

Is that running on WSOP.com or a bitcoin site?
06-28-2016 , 03:32 PM
I used to claim that my cat walked on my keyboard when I got berated for my play.

sorr5tfy guy
s my cat keeps trying to chase the m[pp-ouse cursor on my screen

Speaking of cats, cute dealer finishes her shift: "need to go to home play with the kitty", "I'm surprised you have a cat, aren't you obsessive about cleanliness?", "I don't have a cat"

Clean out the litter box would also amuse

Yay, two Junes!

The month so nice they named it twice.

All in heads up in a tourney for the chiplead, I'm down 2:1 in chips with 12 big blinds:

he shoves, I call ATo, he shows T2s and hits a flush.

----

full stacked three handed cashgame:

small blind raises 10x, I 3 bet pot, he shoves, I call and show AA, he shows AJs and hits a flush.

I really like both of those spots.

Those would only be standard for me if I got berated after losing the hand.

The glaringly bright neon 'quality' doesn't come thru in that pic. Now for the purple/yellow polka dot carpet! Oh, and don't forget the orange walls and the disco ball!

Pretty sure I just discovered that the "rat" in one of parents palm trees is actually 4-6 kangaroo rats. Seeing a pack of them swarm out of the tree and leap a 6 ft was not expected.
07-01-2016 , 11:23 PM
What is a "kangaroo rat"? And where do they live?
07-01-2016 , 11:40 PM
I'm not sure I'll do as good as Wikipedia, but theyre rats/mice that live in deserts in the southwest. They're like rats/rice but with longer, tails, stand one two legs a lot, and some can easily jump 6+ ft

Second June is best June. I mean, it can't be worse than first June, right?
