Anyone notice .5/1 - 2/4 online is harder than 4/8 - 10/20? Anyone notice .5/1 - 2/4 online is harder than 4/8 - 10/20?

The 4/8 to 10/20 tables always seem softer.

Could this be because these are standard limits live and therefore softer players normally gravitate towards them?

Since you get more hands per hour online, the bad players bust quicker.

This. If you can find a 2/4 online game as soft as any 10/20 live game, don't tell anyone about it.

I meant to say .5/1-2/4 online vs. 4/8-10/20 online not live.

.5/1 online is harder than 10/20 live.

.5/1 online is harder than 10/20 live.
10-20 online is signifantly tougher than 2-4 online, although the rake hurts less. That doesn't mean some higher stakes lineups won't be Incredibly soft at time. You just won't run into really tough players at smaller games. You may have lots of nots that play ok making take tough to beat but hat doesn't make games harder.

I never played that small but I deposited and started at 3-6. 3-6 was easier than 5-10 which was Easier than 10-20 which was easier than 15-30 which was easier than 30-60.

Ironically I had my highest bb/100 at 30-60 but that doesn't mean it was easier. Just way less hands and tables at that limit and lots of really tough games I wouldn't play cause I probably couldn't beat the really good players

As a live player who switched to online, at one time I thought anyone looser than I was had to be a fish. As I moved up, I encountered good LAGs. This lead to thinking that a number of players who were better than I was were fishy. This was expensive. The idea that games big enough to support professional players are softer than ones that cannot is suspect. Sure, maybe for short periods of time. If you're unfamiliar with good lagtags, be wary.

When I played 2/4, I usually played with total fish and TAGfish who had good preflop ranges but not much else.

When I played 15/30+, games would often be me, 1 big fish, one TAGfish, and three pros.

I'd much rather play a table with three 26/18's with massively exploitable tendencies than one with three 36/28's who will make my life difficult.
