8/16 Missed Value?

V1 is loose. Not very tricky. Plays premium hands aggressively PF.
V2 is super loose passive calling station showing down just about everything.
V3 is loose passive bad.

Hero is viewed as very aggressive and skilled. Has been asked several times this session "Are you a pro?", but in a friendly way. Everyone is having a good time.

V1 limps UTG. V2 limps behind him. V3 limps MP. Hero raises Kk OTB. All Call. Blinds fold.

Flop [4 plrs 9 sb] Q72

Check around to Hero who bets. V1 Raises. V2 calls. V3 calls. Hero 3!'s.
V1 says "Ok, I guess we can't get em out" and calls. V2 calls.
V3 says "Ok, I'll just go all in then." and caps all in. All call.

(Neither of these comments read as the ol' strong acting weak routine.)

Turn [4 plrs 1 all in 12 BB] A Checked to Hero who bets. All call.

River [15 BB] 10 Checked to Hero who checks.

I'm thinking I missed some value on the river.......

Re: 8/16 Missed Value?

Your wording implies that you won the pot and wish you'd bet. In general yeah I'd bet it, but I don't think it's a big leak to check it back there as plenty of players stay in (or go all in) with a weak A or hands like KJ, QT, etc..

Keep in mind that most players will fold the river there with a hand worse than an A when you bet.

Re: 8/16 Missed Value?

I'm usually kinda timid after it's called on the turn with the A coming down. If v1 isn't raising you on the turn, I'd probably bet. However, I've been gunshy lately, but I play badly.

Are you planning to b/f the turn?

i probably play it the same, even though i'm sure you got shown like q9 and j10. If it were my game someone would have a5o there.

Wait I just re read that. I didn't realize your last to act. If I'm b/f that turn I'm doing the same on the river

I've seen worse. Dude checked river on the Button a board of 10-10-3-8-5 with no flush possibilities. He had K10. Talk about missing some value.

Betting that river when everyone calls me on the turn 19/20 times. Unless I have some sick read on a guy

I'm having a tough time coming up with a single hand from v1 that beats you after he checks river other than perhaps qt. This v doesnt sound like type to cr mid or bottom pair with ace kicker. If he is capable of this level of aggression im sure he would have raised aces up. V2 might have you beat but he is irrelevant.

Re: 8/16 Missed Value?

After thinking about the reads, V1 would've showed aggression with aces up or 2p or sets on the turn. I see kq/qj calling on this river. I think if I'm running well/playing out of my body I'd find a river bet.

Re: 8/16 Missed Value?

Maybe missed a value bet but more likely weaker hands folding.

I see this crap all the time in my game. They think nobody will call or get shown a slow played full house (cause that's what they would do).
