I would be interested in some kind of fitness bet, instead of a weight loss one, since I would be able to lose 10% of my body weight and be even reamotley healthy.
09-07-2016 , 08:55 AM
I'd be into a weight loss challenge.
09-07-2016 , 04:23 PM
I'm beginning to be disgusted with live low stakes HE.

Move up where they respect your raises.

Antneye, how's NC treating you?

It's been great. I wouldn't move back to the northeast if you paid me. The only thing I miss is being close to the ocean, but its only a three hour drive from Charlotte to multiple coastal beaches and i can pretty much do a beach weekend whenever I want.

Been playing a ton of golf this year and I am going to try to take advantage of the fact that I can play year round for the first time since I have been down here. The past few years just were too busy with the kids schedules.

Brag.... I am in second place overall in league play for my monthly community poker game with three months to go. Tonight is our September game and the point leader can't make it

Spent last week in Duck. Weather and water were great once the ocean calmed down from the hurricane. And we had the awesome experience of swimming in bioluminescent plankton one night....way freakin cool!

Way to go on the home poker league.

Forgot to come back to brag that I binked this one. My first win ever. First place overall for a seat at the final table championship game and now I have a seat at our tournament of champions the following week.

Nice jackpots in each.

Solid brags imo. Here's mine: I lost 20 lbs since two New Years eves ago. Slowly but Shirley.

I'm not letting October pass without a single post.

Damn, this place is a ghost town.

Shipping the fun since 2006.

Just got back from Montreal. <3 Canadians.

Gawd, this limit game sucks.

I hate that you can get to the point in a hand where you can't "protect" you hand.

I like taking money from people when they call my value bets.

It is funny that protecting your hand is actually a thing. Isn't that called bluffing with the current nuts?

I've gotten into Obstacle Course Racing (Spartan Races primarily) and, bereft of any good forum options and missing what once was here in the Micros, I've started a forum for OCR questions, discussion, etc. If anyone here is interested in OCR (or fitness/exercise in general - try your hand at the 15 @ 15 Challenge), drop me a PM and I'll ship you the link.

Everyone I know who tried OCR wound up in surgery. Hope you're enjoying it.

We still have micros weight loss challenge folks in my Strava feed. Do you guys use some fitness monitoring as community building?

It's only just started so that hasn't been mentioned anywhere. In true Micros fashion, one of my first posts was a challenge (that I referenced above). Treadmill at 15%, go for 15 minutes. How far can you get?
11-03-2016 , 02:37 PM
The tricky part is getting word out that it exists. There's certainly a niche for it (Reddit is current best/only option and their software leaves a lot to be desired imo).

I know nothing about seo or AdWords or whatever so that's the next challenge now that the site is mostly up.

You should trust ottsville and me, running (even without obstacles) is dangerous. Get a bike. Ride it. Your body will thank you.

If you don't have a bike or aren't experienced, I'd highly recommend a "gravel grinder", which is basically a slightly beefier road bike. The geometry is a tiny bit more upright than a "racing" bike. You can get in your cardio fitness and not visit a knee surgeon.

Spraining an ankle > getting hit by a car on the whole risk scale.

lol, as long as you ignore the p( ) those things, then sure.

Sup bro?

Chillin. Sitting micro stakes waiting for action.
