Anybody been home pokering lately? I just got back from a weekend of degeneracy in Atlanta via a pokerchipforum.com meetup.

I'm planning on getting a game together soon actually, but no I haven't played any homegames lately. I've been playing for bitcoins on SwCpoker. They even recently started spreading limit holdem. The games only go sometimes, but when they do the action has been awesome. No limit has been especially kind to me lately. I started with nothing. I was just playing freerolls. Now I'm sitting on >1 bitcoin thanks to the rungood.

I thought seals folded? And I was playing limit on there last summer, but I could only get huhu to run.

Seals with Clubs is now SwCpoker.eu. The player pool is small. Usually there are <200 players logged on at most times. Luckily most of the players will show you their cards if you ask them nicely.

they had a very bumpy transition from 1.0 to 2.0 which included a period of downtime as they relocated and management changed and new software and some other stuff.

Which leaves Brian Micon the CEO and makes me feel very uncomfortable.

yeah, i'm keeping a close eye on all of it for sure. i've had a bunch of smooth deposits/cashouts/transfers since the switchover, and rb is paid fine, but the software is buggy/client crashes a lot. so far they have decent updates on twitter. still a ways to go though.

But life is awesome, so it's only sometimes...

My NHL Neural Network bot wasn't nearly as successful as my NFL version. Laptop crashed so I got no results to show. I did find this paper that shows NN's outperforming conventional prediction metrics for the NHL, which I thought was interesting.

No money in sports prediction, all bots solid.

Wasn't convincing, and then I lost interest and my laptop died. I'm trying to think of other fun NN projects to try. Sports handicapping is fun, but the field is too crowded.

Is Merge about to go down in flames?

Probably not, but it will be some time before cashouts are back to acceptable.

Is there actual inside information on that? I have no idea having played about 500 hands of online poker in the last year. It just seems like "taking a little longer to cashout" is always the first excuse. That's what happened on every network with problems, right? Heck, I'm in the lucky cohort that got paid on Lock. 6 months for mine turns out big luck (or help from a pro).

Are there zoo links to sources you trust?

Again having zero info and huge hope that you're spot on, I'm always worried about sites that service US players. My first impulse would be to be concerned if something changed for the worse. OTOH, I'm in the group that basically has played little online since BF (a short propping gig, aside). Thus, my bias is certainly in one direction.

I have my reasons for saying it. I would t just say it for no reason. This isn't the first time Carbon has taken extra long time to get withdraws to people. In 2012 they had it up to 12 weeks at one point. This is just what happens with them, annoyingly.

Reasons beyond "I've played there a really long time and they've always treated me well"?

edit: Not that isn't a totally legit reason to give them the benefit of the doubt.

No inside information, but I've seen it before also and watched the fear mongers come out and everybody panic. They also panic when they can't log into the client "must be the DOJ-Black Friday 2"

I hope we are both right. It is concerning that they stopped processing Skrill at least temporarily

I haven't played there in about 2 years, except the random tournament here or there.

I guess people are having their cashouts processed now?

Yep, don't get too excited though, as those are still from a long time ago, but it's moving in the right direction. (Like a turtle, but in the right direction!)
