Yes, that, because once you've done it you will be more confident raising preflop.

My PFR is 10.7??

I might do the 100/100/100 anyways just because it seems interesting, don't know if would want to do at .10/.20 not because of the stakes just because I don't wanna skew my stats and jack up any table image I am building.

Or maybe I should jack it up so people think I am a huge fish and once I play normal they I can reap some initial benefits.

Which, in the context of decent players, is very low. It looks to me like you're limping a lot of hands you should be raising.

For FR stats, a target range is ~0.5 of your VPIP or a 2:1 ratio of VPIP:PFR. Based on the ranges listed above for VPIP, we can come up with a PFR range of ~8%-11% for a strong aggressive, yet tight player.

From what I read before my PFR was within range and right near half my VPiP?

Do not get me wrong I am all for being more aggressive. I am about to do a session so Ill apply it and see what happens...its only money right.

I'm curious where you got this. I hesitate to say anything is flat wrong, but I consider any player with a 2:1 VPIP:PFR ratio to be quite bad. Around 3:1 is better, and some good FR players are north of 4:1.

When I read that post I thought it was going to be from 2005. Some of the stuff in there - especially WTSD - was already pretty poor in 2008 IIRC. Then again I was playing 19/15 in 2005, and very few other people were.

Understandable, but its also in the Faq which as we know everyone is advised to read....

..FWIW I didnt try intentionaly to get a 10ish PFR its just so happens to be my range, and its slowly going up as when I first began I was not playing up to expectations and based on on some tips I let my natural aggression come out.

Isn't 1.5:1 the ratio that is commonly considered as a good ratio?

3:1 would be something like 15/5 and 4:1 would be something like 16/4.

na, 3:2 is better imo...

seriously, what's with all this preflop debate anyway? post hands, review sessions, profit. stats can reveal leaks, but you still need to find the spots where you are making mistakes.

the gap between VPIP and PFR will depend a lot on game conditions. if you're in a loose passive game, you'll be able to overlimp, coldcall a lot, see more flops from the blinds, thus giving you a bigger gap.
put yourself in a tight game and there be less room for limping and coldcalling or cheap flops from the blinds.

Yeah, I was thinking the wrong way round somehow. Should be 3:2 and 4:3 up there.

my steal pct % are as follows:

sb - 34%
co - 22.7%
btn - 32.5%

blind defense stats

sb fold to steal - 85.8%
bb fold to steal - 59.8%

Is there anything else specific I should post or does this make it super obvious I need a lot of work on BvB?

Blind defense stats aren't too bad. As long as you are 3! from sb when defending and not cold calling, that seems fine. bb could be closer to 50% (or lower).

ATS waaaaaaaaaaay too tight. sb should be @ least 50%. BTN should be @ least 40% and CO @ least 30%. I'll let you (or some1 else) figure out the exact number.

On murderface's blind stats:

He's not exactly "getting creamed" -- stats were in big blinds/100 rather than big bets, so -0.34BB/hand in the big blind, -0.18BB/hand in the small.

Yes, probably needs some work along the lines you suggest, but nothing too drastic. Lowering the WTSD% is more important, imo.

Perhaps not creamed, but he's certainly getting smacked in the face a bit.

What's one step before creamed? Minced? Pureed?

Re: OFFICIAL MicroStakesLIMIT stats thread (part 2)

So it's been a pretty crappy month thus far. Seems like some runbad exacerbated by WTSD creep, maybe Am I missing anything? There are some shorthanded hands at 3/6 that are skewing that limit's stats a touch, but nothing major enough to significantly affect overall stats.

Re: OFFICIAL MicroStakesLIMIT stats thread (part 2)

L2B you are too nitty in late position imo, your VPIP/PFR does not increase across position as fast as it should, your are too good to play so few hands from late position (if you were less experienced the answer would be to knock some hands out of your EP ranges). Stats from my last 20k hands of .5/1 Rush are below:

Position VPIP% PFR% UO PFR (steal)%
1) button 26.6 22.9 60.4
2) cutoff 22.3 19.6 40.7
3) mp1 18.5 17.1 26.6
4) mp2 14.6 13.7 18.8
5) mp3 13.8 12.8 14.4
6) ep1 11.3 10.4 11.1
7) ep2 9.6 7.8 7.8
8) small blind 28.2 16.9 76.8
9) big blind 37.5 8.9 na

Note from UTG you play a couple more %, which is fine, next 3 positions are virtually the same, hopefully good for both of us, but the HJ, CO and btn gaps are 3, 4, and 8%.

You can argue I'm not good so you don't want to aspire to my stats, but if you take a look at Stox opening ranges, he's at about 7% UTG and 40% OTB, a factor of 6, you are at 11% UTG and 40% otb, a factor of 4.

Re: OFFICIAL MicroStakesLIMIT stats thread (part 2)

Up over 10k hands and I feel like I have cleaned up a lot but I definitely feel I have a long way to go. Im struggling with 22-77 at times and overcalling 99-JJs also, I believe I am holding them too long.

I did dump 60BB in.25/.50 in my last session and was definitely playing worse chasing it so I quit but Ill go to BBV to discuss that mess, otherwise I am positive through 10k either way and I cannot really complain about that much.

I was up around 2.45/100BB up until last session as a side not

I noticed my CCPF was quite high it seems compares to others. Though my "positional awareness" is much improved, that came down to an ego issue in which I thought I could play whatever and outplay on the flop. Problem is that you cannot outplay someone who doesn't know you are

Also my blind and steals seem "off" not sure if over defending or under defending blinds and overstealing from SB

As usual any help is appreciated.
