I'll link this thread from the various LC/NC threads. This probably comes as no surprise beyond not believing how long it took to happen.

The short version: as has been discussed for a bit, a number of the LHE forums get little/no traffic. It likely confusing to new users where to even post. The plan is to merge all LHE traffic into two forums, one for mid/high stakes and the other for micros/small stakes. The end goal is to have two active LHE forums where people can post and interact.

Details: There is still a bit of discussion about the technical parts of merging forums. It could be that all posts will be copied to the new destination forum. Regardless, all the current old threads will still be accessible from their old links (I really hope).

"What should I do?": if you're cool with this, maybe say so here. If you hate it and have constructive criticism, say so here.

"Let's say I really want to help out": Seems likely the forum FAQ and stickies will need some work. I might get to it in the not distant future. If you have ideas for how to fix these threads and want to have the forever glory, I can help make it happen.

BTW, hoping we'll be below the NL forums on the left side sometime soon (maybe after NL re-org), so that fewer n00b NL posters decide to ask a LHE forum about some AK or 66 hand they butchered.

Seems good to me. I'm sure it's not exactly how everyone would like to see it combined, but I think we can all agree that some action like this is necessary.

Also, I think LHE should be above NLHE, because it is clearly more important.

It would be good if hand posts required some context in the title. Stakes, specify if HU/short, etc. Or even just a requirement to have a descriptive title instead of some inside joke or some unrelated song lyrics or something else stupid.

About time doug but the amount of info in old threads are pretty big.

Not transfer all the old threads ( like the mid/high short handed forums) and losing it would be imo, a pretty big hit on the quality of the forums...

I believe this is what they're trying to do. Script to move or copy all the old forums into the new ones.

Even if that doesn't happen, we can request that the admins (or the mods can) move important threads if you want them live. All will be searchable and old links should work. I'll keep you posted as the Powers That Be say anything. At a minimum we lose nothing.
Not 100% sure. Guessing that it will be me, BigBadBabar, and some/all of the people you see listed on the bottom of the various LHE forums.

Just to be clear, this wasn't remotely my idea. I'm just the guy who said "I have some free time and would be happy to tell people about it." The conversation about forum reorganization has been around here for years. I have no idea who was the first person to say "why do many darned forums". Posters on the various forums have voted with their feet -- there are 2 active forums (Small Stakes and Medium Stakes) and one 10% active (micros). I'm all for it, but no credit to me as only the messenger.

The idea has gone around the mod forum so many times the thread title for this version is

I don't really care as long as I finally get my very own "White Men Can't Jump" analogy containment thread.

Don't like it. Can't see what tangible benefits come from forcing people from one forum that may not like anyone in another forum to play in the same sandbox.

Not really. It doesn't really add any value for live/full ring/6max players to suddenly have HU hand posts cluttering their forum. Nor does it add any value for HU players to have LOL live full ring players commenting in their threads.

I do agree with combining mid/high stakes though.

This made me look into the HU sub-forum where there are zero posts. IDK of any live HU games and I sure wouldn't play it online w/ the chance that there's a Cepheus clone against me. It has to be a dead form of poker.
