Nope. It's a standard call pf and we missed. Some ppl are trying to figure out why not folding is not spewing but, come on. We flopped nothing and have to make all sorts of assumptions in order to go forward. Easy fold.

Practically the definition of under-thinking

Not really. To be fair I only skimmed the replies but what I read from some amounted to 'eh...we might this, that, or the other thing......blah, blah....we have x equity.....'

What we have is junk, that's what we have, and it seems to me that trying to shoe-horn in our junk is over thinking.

J9 sooted
as to me i consider hands like J8o or Q9o in such situations as omaha hi/low
J-10-8-2 stuff. Problematic with zero profit at most.
no, if somebody donks turn J on 8-6-4-J and they never trust him, it's ok. But i'm not that lucky.

I thought it was a straightforward flop call, some 2+2 friends thought it was a fold. But if you call the flop, seems clear you have to donk a good number of turns.

In the actual hand, I turned the nut scary card (7) and bet.

Captain R stated that there was discussion about it. It means the hand got to showdown, which means Captain R called the flop and turned a good card, then was the last aggressor on the river (whiff or bink) and someone called, Captain R fastrolled, and there were some impolite words exchanged.

I suppose that 'impolite words' means bink.

Preflop:
Straightforward player raises in HJ.
Loose, somewhat aggro bad player calls in CO.
We call J9 in BB.

Flop: 864 (3 players, 6.5 SB)
We check, HJ bets, CO calls, we make an easy call.

Turn: 7 (3 players, 4.5 BB)
We bet, HJ folds, CO thinks about raising and calls.

River: Q (2 players, 6.5BB)
We check, CO bets, we call, and CO shows A3.

Some people thought I should bet the river, but the way the action went down, it seemed most likely CO had two broadway cards with a big . He would normally raise any pair on the flop, and checking also gives him the opportunity to bluff.

I wouldn't bet the river either.

Exactly. If you can't peel this you can't defend and if you can't defend just go home you're done for the day.
