4/8 LHE. Aces cracked is on $100 for offsuit, $200 for red aces.

67o in the BB, few limps to me and I check

Flop: Kh7h7c

I check, spazzy MP bets, button calls, I call, first limper folds.

Turn: 8c

I check, MP checks, button bets

Button is taggish preflop for this game, straightforward post. I really can't imagine him betting a king here.

I open 99 in EP, 4 ways to the flop.

Flop: 7s7h5h

I bet, one caller from the BB

Turn: Ts

I bet, BB raises

_______________________________

JJ in the CO, a limp and the HJ raises (tight raiser). I 3b, two calls

Flop: 964r

HJ bets, I raise, he calls

Turn: x

HJ donks and tells me he has a big pair but can't beat a set.

1.) bet the flop, as played check raise the flop, as played check raise the turn

2.) you can fold unless you have seen him spazz with draws

3.) call down

Hand 1, raise the flop. As played, raise the turn.

Hand 2, kc kr is usually a monster until you're shown otherwise at this level. Fold now.

Hand 3, I would call the flop donk planning to raise most turns. Maybe not a 5/T/A. As played he says he has a big pair but didn't cap pre, so AA/KK may deserve a discount. Calling down and make a note is fine but I think it's close to raise.

I think this is right with respect to all three hands.

OP, I have no idea why you think BTN wouldn't bet a K in hand 1. I think he should be betting pretty much any K (and pretty much any pair above 7x, to be honest).

I'm probably just being results oriented.

Hand 1) Why did you slowplay only to not raise the turn? Bet the flop and hope to get raised.

Hand 2) I'm fairly certain you could $100 splash pot the turn and this would still be a fold. Check-call/check-raise usually means doom at 4/8. Check-call/check-raise on a paired flop is almost certain doom.

Hand 3) I'd just call down.

I did x/r the turn in hand one, just to be clear. Button called and x/c river with a better 7. The MP player is just such a spaz and I felt he was very likely to bet again OTT.

Just because the button had a 7 and bet it doesn't mean he wouldn't have also bet a King.

On (1), 4/8 players can sometimes get away from their hands when you wait for the turn with trips, because everyone waits for the turn with trips at that level.

I just lead the flop. But an x/r is fine. Anything but x/c. X/c is terrible.

On (2), I think it's a pretty obvious fold without a read. You've got plenty of hands in your distribution to call down with, so even if the player is actually observant, you can't really be exploited.

On (3), everyone has it right. The second donk is the donk of death. Just call down.

Yeah, I agree. Also agree with everyone that betting flop is better.

I did b/f hand 2.

Hand 3:

River bricks off and villain checks. Bet?

Hand 3 I check river. Might have folded turn. People are surprisingly honest when they tell you what they have.
