What are people's rules for playing suited connectors or 1 gaps? I seem to find that on the nights where I leave a loser, it is from paying too much to try to hit with suited connectors.

Typically, if there are likely 5-6 in a pot, I often come in with 6-7, 7-8, 9-7 suited.

If there are enough people seeing a flop, should I be raising with these hands? Should I always call or should I be folding most of time?

5-6 people in pot I use "13 and 9's for suited hands" I'd be raising A3, k9, q9, j9...6-5 people limp in front of you and you have 6-7, 8-7, 9-7 suited,.... easy call.

You can play suited cards worse than these as long as you're not playing them from early position. Playing hands like these OOP can be a big leak. You can sneak into pots with these in loose passive games but be mindful of position. You can also cold call a raise assuming it's gonna be a big mw pot and the table isn't overly agro post flop.

I might over limp or I might raise based on whether it gains me strategic advatanges post flop.

I may raise mw or just call based on my image and the dynamics of the game.

just curious...how would he know how many people where in pot unless he was in late position? Doesn't sound like he was considering playing these hands out of position?

If there are 4-5 limpers and I am on the button, I will probably play any suited Ax, Kx, or two suited cards that can make a straight. ****, if the action went L-L-R-C-C or something similar, I would probably take two to the chin with 64s.

Thread title. Vast majority of the hands are multiway simply based on the term "loose game". Not too difficult to deduce that if the last hour has 30 or 35 hands with at least 4 to the flop....the next hand where OP is UTG with 78s is a possible part of OP's question.

he said 5-6, but I also missed the "likely" in original post which would make more sense, as far as giving advice on EP.
