What's the logic behind donking the river? We have now raised him 3 times, and he has raised us back each time. Are we not in calldown mode?

After the flop action I decided to just call down, but had this sudden fear as the river card came out that I hadn't put in enough action; and thought I'd rather bet-call the river than check/raise/call it.

I'm not defending it; just explaining what I was thinking.

If the guy is really so psycho that we think check call is less profitable than donk/call, then we should've just gone ahead and 6 bet the flop.
