Good morning.

My offer still stands dude: if and when you wanna join swcpoker I'll hook you up with a few bucks if I have the chips to spare, which I do at the moment. I won a decent 12 game tourney last night despite sucking at all the games.

Re: 2017 ustakes NC, where the steaks are wafer thin (Low Content Thread)

Sad news on the nesting birds saga. I came home from work a couple of days ago only to find a completed nest tossed unceremoniously onto the yard. I was hoping the bird could stand a shower from the watering attachment and not reveal his/her presence to the wife. I do take some solace in that I didn't find any eggs or eggshells on the ground.

Don't eat the omelet for the next week, imo.

Re: 2017 ustakes NC, where the steaks are wafer thin (Low Content Thread)

Stopped playing online about 6 months ago so I'm pretty much out of the loop, but was exclusively playing mid/high LHE on Bovada/Ignition since 2013. Noticed the major change to Ignition's lobby and was wondering if that was the final death knell to their LHE games?

Assuming I can pass a background and drug test, and that I can find an apt in Portland I'll be starting a new job next week. Woot!

I haven't been able to find a single game since the change.

I open up a forum and see three separate LC/NC threads. I mean, I know there is a paucity of content these days, but still, three seems like overkill.

But I remember some uLimit peoples in here notwithstanding the fact I'm an unlimited donk rather than the limited variety. Hi Doc and DougL and Bellatrx and Babar. But where is Bona?

Where you U.S. LHE guys play these days? Ignition? ACR? BoL? Let us start up a small .05/.10 LHE table somewhere for funs like in old days.
Hey, Mike is still alive!!

Hi, Mike. I sure do miss the old forum games you started up way back on Pokerstars. I can't even remember what we named them, all I remember was that it was Mike's Private Fish Pond.

Edit: Shenanigans! How could I forget that name

I play rarely but when I do it is for entertainment purposes on Ignition. The anonymous poker sites are not as fun as the old sites with player names and I tend to get bored easily with them.

Doc

Currently in Vegas for a conference.

The $9/$18 min bet Texas at Bellagio is funny. A bunch of cranky old men that fold a lot when they're ahead, and call when they're behind. Also players who are dealers that have funny stories.

I got called down by 9 high.

Re: 2017 ustakes NC, where the steaks are wafer thin (Low Content Thread)

I was just looking at my yahoo newsfeed and the headline read something like "mental health awareness month yada yada yada. So there's a picture of a girl sitting against a wall with her head on her knees. Is that pretty much the poster child for mental health? I get that suicide is a big problem, but depression and anxiety may be the most widespread mental health issues. It's always someone hanging their head in shame. ****. I mean put me on a poster with "schizo" smiling my ass off on my shirt and see how many people wanna get a beer and shoot the **** with me.

I was considering making my first deposit to Ignition this week, specifically because I had read that it was the only sites with decent LHE traffic (on the forums and at bigbadbabar.com)... Would folks familiar with Ignition as it is today advise me against depositing? Not really interested in no limit at the moment. Are there any other sites worth exploring for limit?

*one of the only US facing sites, I should add. Sorry, I'm on tapatalk and can't seem to edit posts.

I should add I'm in Washington state which I know limits options even further.

Re: 2017 ustakes NC, where the steaks are wafer thin (Low Content Thread)

I played on Bovada once, deposited 150 to try out the 2/4 O8 and I regretted every second of it and made sure I donked it all off so that I never ever had to play there again.

But that's just me. Hate the format, hate the numbering crap, hate the layout.

Re: 2017 ustakes NC, where the steaks are wafer thin (Low Content Thread)

so you get to the river after this kind of action:

defend big blind, check call flop and turn. river action?

I think I have a leak in this spot that makes me miss tons of showdown ev and bluff ev. I rarely donk here and I think it's my second biggest leak right after my anger management problem.

I never know what to say when people share but I definitely wish you the best.

I agree there's an undue stigma to depression, anxiety, as well as therapy, and wish that we as a society would talk about stuff like this more outside of crises.
