So it sounds like the action was on you with players still to act behind you? If so I'd fold this fairly confidently.

One player left to act who is muttering about how he wins if the 8 was allowed to stay. I was pretty sure he had Q8 at the time and he was complaining about having that hand afterward

Should have bet my life savings on the Patriots.

Damn field goals. Still + on the weekend, and season.

I like the Pack at +5, but wow 60 for the total?
Samesies for Pitt +5.5.

Packers/Pittsburgh Super Bowl.

Foxwoods guys (jdr I think), will there be 40/80 Saturday night?
How about PLO?

I like how in NL sometimes people win pots and still berate me.

I bet river and am called. I fastroll 7 high.

Dealer: "Seven high str...I mean seven high. No flush, no straight."

Random guy: "Why are you showing that ****, man?"

Me: "He called me."

Caller: "You know you can muck that."

Me: "Yeah, but maybe I'm good."

Random guy: "There's no way ... I mean you can't seriously ..."

Caller: "Come on, you really think seven high is good?"

Me: "Well, you still haven't showed me anything better."

[spoil]He showed something better.[/quote]

Happens in limit as well, I call someone with a bluff catcher and they say "you're good" and I sit still and then they show something better because they don't understand poker and I muck and start my speech about if they say I'm good they should just muck their hand or STFU. And then I get the "Well I thought you had an A" as they bluffed w/ their JJ or something.

50/50 and depends.

40/80 almost always happens with inter player bargaining. Like 20/40 is going and a few people decide to play 40. If one certain player is there, he's very good about getting the game going, so it will almost certainly go. It went last weekend, but I didn't play because I wanted to just hang out at 20 and watch the patriots.

2/5 almost always goes, but that's barely poker at 100 bb when 8 people are seeing the flop for a raise. 5/5 goes sometimes and in my limited experience, it can be horrendous or excellent.

Happened at 20 this weekend. Random spew fish donks after limp-calling pre into two people on some KT6-K or something board, decent but grumpy / tilt-prone TAGfish calls down, fish says "you're good, A hi", except he had A7 high and his kicker played against A2 high. To my annoyance, TAGfish felt the need to tell the guy about how horrible his bluff line and hand selection was (not that he's wrong but still, glass tapping and the like).

I'll never understand bet/muck-when-called with something that has even a scintilla of showdown value. Just last week I saw a guy bet/muck a K (he flashed it before mucking) on AJ8xy. Guy that called showed QT

I like the Packers and the points (and moneyline at about +170). Total is really high, but if I had to bet it- I'm not- I'd bet the over.

While I'd like the Steelers to win, I'm not sure I'd bet on them at +5 if they were playing this game at home.

Wow, they have a PLO game with only a 100bb cap? Should just do flips with that.

It leads to bluff calling.

Well 100 bb max BI. Obviously the game gets deeper as the game goes longer and people end up accumulating chips. But yeah, a general strat of waiting for the nuts and jamming works wonders.

Sometimes the PLO game requires actual poker skills, but those aren't the times to be playing the PLO game anyway .

That never bothers me and I never say anything bec I've never seen a decent player say it. Makes me happy to have that sort in the game and, wow, there are a lot of them.

I put a guy all in on the turn with Qs 6s x - Ts on the board and flip up As Ks. He flips 9s 8s and we double take before the chorus of AIYAs starts at the 3c on the ree-vah

LOL no, thankfully - I had one of those sort-of happen a while back. I opened AQs and a lady CCd 87s of the same suit. JTs on flop, 9 of the right suit on the turn, and thankfully she waited until the T on the river to raise because I would have dumped exactly 4 bets to her on the turn. When I showed, the AIYAs began
