I open A7o from late position, AB calls the BB. I consider A5o to be the bottom of my range and somehow that morphs into I am at the bottom of my range with A5o

Flop A5x, I bet it down, fastroll, and declare two pair. It's a little unclear whether the light from my cards or the sound waves from my mouth got to the dealer first but it's definitely a facepalm moment.

I've got one from way back in a NYC club: I often shuffle my two cards before looking at them and on this occasion I find the 88. Board runs out w/ 4s and I declare flush and turn over my cards (not tabling them, just showing) and SURPRISE I've got the 88! W....T.....F.....!!!???? So I wiggle the cards and the 8 pops out! I'd been dealt three cards and didn't notice! I think that I'm the only HE player in history who's ever been dealt rolled-up and lost! lol.

Wow...

My best end of a long session fail was when I mucked my hand because I thought that I had bet and my opponent had folded. As it turned out, he had donked, my bet was ruled a call, and I had mucked the winner. Munga30 may remember that fail.

Opponent fail:

On the river I bet and am called by a regular. The board is J9864 and I have JT. My opponent is on the other side of the table so I table my hand near the flop for easier viewing. My opponent taps the table then looks back at his hand. He gets this weird look on his face and says he misread his hand and has a straight tabling 97. The dealer pushes up the board which is now J986T and goes to muck my J4. I inform him and the dealer that I don't think he can use my cards to make a straight.

Stop trying to pretend you didn't raise J4o from UTG+2.

Long story short:

I have four nines, dude raises river, I 3 bet, he rechecks his cards. He folds claiming "Thought I had a straight flush."

He must have had the other two nines, Bob
04-11-2017 , 09:24 AM
He claimed it was T7o which he thought was suited diamonds.

If you had a BBJ you should have shown and said "I wish you did."

"I WISH YA WOULD"

Does it mean I am getting old when something called Russell Westbrook was in my room and it just annoyed me because people wouldn't shut up about it?

Also, I chased some kid off my lawn this morning.

Was he dumping money?

He plays all the time everywhere. People need to stop fawning over him, that is why we don't get more celebrities playing. I've played with Russell Westbrook, Shawn Marion, and Eddie Johnson just at 20/40 LHE as well as seen Connie Hawkins hundreds of times (to mention a few upper echelon NBA players).

I've heard a story where once some big buy in NL game went off at Foxwoods (like $5k or something), and some guy got dealt KK. Paul Pierce happened to be in the game, and the guy asked Paul if he would call if he open shoved (Paul hadn't looked at his cards yet). Paul said yes, so the dude open shipped and Paul called. And won with 2 pair.

Phil laaks record may be I jeopardy and there is a 100 hour session in progress
04-12-2017 , 02:42 PM
You don't have video proof.
04-12-2017 , 03:14 PM
I always thought that was silly. I'm sure >100 hours has been done many times.

I'm sure a stuck monkey pulls a 50 hour session at every house every weekend.

I have no qualms about admitting to being a terrible NL player as I play it so infrequently. Last night marked the first time I got seriously abused through the confluence of some runbad, some playbad, and some carddeadness. Was not fun.

Yeah seriously. I played with AP once and it was unbearable. Just relax people.
