Oops, I was kind of thinking about the flop. But I have also played more 10/20 than any other limit.

T9sX flop, not my suit obv. I bet and both call. Turn either K or Q completes flush draw, checked around. River is a blank and BB leads out. I fold, button calls and wins with a 9. BB goes on to bet-and-muck-when-called on river at least three more times before leaving. So ****ing terrible

ETA: Just thought of another one from a few months ago...couple limpers and I raise KJs on the button, BB and limpers call to a J-high flop with FD (that I don't have). I bet flop and get called by BB and one limper, bet blank turn and get called. River J that completes the FD. BB goes all-in for 2 chips, limper completes and I muck I read back hands like this and wonder how I don't go busto
My goodness. Skip out of the ****ing shrimp cocktail at the end of your sessions and you'll be fine.

That sounds like something I will enjoy watching.
Those time zones are backwards.

This was a new one...capped multiway I have KKc against among other things AA and AA. Flop set, board runs out with four clubs

Fold preflop.

I benefitted from a pretty good suckout not long thereafter - the action guy is pretty incredible playing something like 95/70

Guys sitting on 1200 in a 6-12, it's a sight I have to admit

No Jesse on LATB?

The gal in purple is talented.

They sure are moving a lot of chips around. Is that because it's on "tv"? Or because it's L.A.? Or because it's 20?
01-27-2017 , 12:57 AM
it's a little juiced because of tv but otherwise it's a normal la 20 imo

la limit games are maybe a bit more action-y than most other places i'd say

Can we all just agree that outside of some backwater rooms in Florida that the Bellagio is the worst run room in the country? Honestly every time I come here I feel like they actively despise new business and customers. And the amount of softplaying, slowrolling, angles and bad floor decisions that I see over the course of a few days is really mind blowing. I feel for the Vegas regs that this is the only LHE action in town.

I've only played 20 once or twice at Bay 101 (more of a 6 or 8 or NL player) and it was nothing like that. Some of those pots would have doubled my usual buy-in, lol.

BTW, Gobbo, 40 and 80 run pretty much every day at Bay. It's about an 8 hour drive.

I have been playing other places in LA and doing quite well.

Thought I played very well on LATB, hope y'all enjoyed it.

Every trip to LV I make some time to play at Bellagio. I like waiting until someone threatens to kill another player. Makes my day.

As a local, you get to do the softplaying, partake in the slowrolling, shoot angles, all while enjoying bad floor decisions in your favor. Add in some phantom addons of your name to the list for some reasonable toking and being a local isn't the worst.

Of all the horrors visited upon lhe due to the boom #1 (besides making lhe a back-water) has to be all of these players who cut chips in front of their stack and then move them into the pot.

Honorable mention goes to: 'Good luck, all-in.'

I heard this for the first time multiple times from the same guy the other day. "Good luck in your 2BB pot!"
01-28-2017 , 12:16 AM
It turns out that more players go all-in at limit than they do in NL and I hear the damn thing constantly.

btw, tx for dropping in. I feel like a special flower when I shake loose an infrequent poster from the poster bush.

I'd say it's #2. Floors are understandably miserable due to the **** they have to put up with. Maybe it's just because you can't play anywhere else and they know it. I wonder why anyone plays NLHE there.

I hate to admit it, but this may be the most annoying thing for me. Sir, there's not going to be any confusion over how much the bet is when it's checked to you, just put some chips out there. Perhaps it's the result of getting called on a string raise. It doesn't help that they are usually trying to set a record for longest time taken to make two stacks of four chips, and often getting it wrong multiple times.

"Oh jeez, I only have seven, I think I need to add one more. Oh, now I've done it! I've added two more! This is really quite challenging. Check."

I don't know if it's the weather clearing up or what, but the last three sessions I've played, the games were phenomenal, just all kinds of multiway action, big pots, lots of chasing.

Spoiler:
+$5, +$75, -$190 FML

WSOP has been in my casino for the last two weeks. 20-40 every day, tons of huge big bet games going, but the small limit games haven't seen any real change in scale or personnel. There was 200-400 2-7TD going last night, though, with a list. Pretty wild.
