In a 6-12 game that has changed to a 30-12-12-12

How to slow pay like a pro, NOT

I'm in the BB with 55. 3 or 4 players limp, Button raises, SB folds, I call, everyone else calls.

Button hasn't been at the table long, but he doesn't seem crazy. I expect he has a premium hands, but not sure how premium.

Fop is 6 Q Q rainbow.

I check, checks around to the button, who checks.

Turn is a 5 [6 Q Q]

I bet. Folded around to the button who calls.

River is a 3 [ 5 6 Q Q].

I bet, button raises. I have this sinking feeling button has QQ, but I call.

Button shows AQ. I show my full house and stack the chips.

If the button had bet the flop, I would have folded. I didn't point this out to him though. He was pissed.

"You're a lhe beast!" he said.

"You're probably the worst limit holdem player ever." she said.

The truth is probably somewhere between these extremes. I find the juxtaposition amusing.

Sounds like what people thought of me at 30/60. Some people are convinced I won like $200/hr, others that I lost $200/hr.

But how much have you won on the Pats?

This happens ALL of the time at small stakes. I think you should've 3-bet him.

I won as much this past weekend as I've won lifetime from their victories.

Actually that may not be true. I was in an office football pool where I definitely outperformed due to blindly choosing the Patriots to cover every single week, and the Patriots disproportionately covering. I forget whether I net won or net lost though.

Random anecdote: I won one week because I set my lineup to "East Coast Power" in which whichever team's home stadium was further east got selected to cover. Scored a massive 12 or 13 points and tied for first (with one of the sharks). He and I had selected the same team to cover Monday, so it was going to the tiebreaker, the MNF total score. I had no idea that O/U was a thing that one could look up; I had put down a total score maybe 20 points above the O/U, the shark had selected a total score slightly higher than the Vegas O/U. The game was a wild west shootout and I binked the equivalent of a 2-outer to take the week.

According to the calendar, LiveAtTheBike will be showing a 40/80 LHE game tomorrow (Thursday) at 7:00 EST/10:00 PST, with commentary by avoidthe9to5.

That sounds like something I will enjoy watching.

I had dinner with Sir Avoid just yester-eve and he did not mention active Live at the Bike 40/80 hilarity. I will send him a textual message via electric telephone and get more information. If there is a game this week I promise to play and not fold a suited connector preflop.

You could probably sell your picks (or pics).

Gobbo posted about it in Medium Stakes on January 3rd:

Yeah! Let us know if you get a seat! I've been planning to watch since I found out but it would be rad to rail a forum member.

Be fun to rail gobbo and Jesse.
Had hoped to make it up to play but sick kid won't allow that.

Pretty sure my sports picks, my nekkid pics, and for that matter my Keno betting strategy are equally desirable.

My Keno betting strategy is to make a giant dong shape. So if I somehow win a billion dollars, I get a picture next to a massive glowing dong to boot.
01-26-2017 , 01:08 AM
I don't always botch a hand, but when I do, it's 3-handed, and I'm probably winning and a little (or a lot) on auto-pilot.

Open ATs UTG, button calls, BB calls...button has been a station this whole session, BB is unknown, recently sat down.

T9sX flop, not my suit obv. I bet and both call. Turn either K or Q completes flush draw, checked around. River is a blank and BB leads out. I fold, button calls and wins with a 9. BB goes on to bet-and-muck-when-called on river at least three more times before leaving. So ****ing terrible

--

ETA: Just thought of another one from a few months ago...couple limpers and I raise KJs on the button, BB and limpers call to a J-high flop with FD (that I don't have). I bet flop and get called by BB and one limper, bet blank turn and get called. River J that completes the FD. BB goes all-in for 2 chips, limper completes and I muck I read back hands like this and wonder how I don't go busto
01-26-2017 , 01:33 AM
What limit are you playing that someone can complete a two chip bet?
01-26-2017 , 01:41 AM
Like every limit in existence. It would be better if you could name me a limit where you raise a 2 chip bet instead of completing on the river.

All 3/6 and 4/8 structures would require completing on the big bet streets. I guess if you were playing 10/20 with $5 chips, that would be the only one where you could raise instead of completing that I can think of, except for 2/4.
01-26-2017 , 01:52 AM
Yeah, 6-12 with $2 chips.
01-26-2017 , 03:20 AM
Confirmed on LATB tomorrow. Jesse you can get on if you just reserve a seat on the live at the bike website I'm pretty sure. Another friend did it last night. I'll be in the booth for some time as well.
