It's 2016 here, don't know what you guys are thinking.

Can we get some naming difference between the three NC/LC threads so they don't look identical in my subscriptions?

BigBadBabar is on the west coast too, is he not?

I have no idea on how to subscribe.

On the app go to the thread menu and hold down the thread, a menu pops up. I assume it's obvious on the computer but have not used it for years.

Replying here so I don't get banned for off topic conversations.

I always advertise for LHE at the NL table, it keeps me entertained. The key is subtlety, you don't say, "yeah everyone chases everything" because some people consider that a negative. Instead, you say things like, "I love it, here you could lose your whole stack, but at 15/30 you can call down for only $100." It implies you're gonna call down anyway so why not call down where your losses are limited. People think LHE is ******ed, plus, they think you're ******ed both at LHE and NL.

For you, sir.

Happy New Years Day, all. Hope you feel better today than you deserve for what you did last night.

I had like one glass of wine. Least I've drank on New Years Eve probably in like 15 years.

Just like poor and middle class people who voted for Trump; people don't know whats good for them.

2 stories:

CAZ started out w/ 1-2-150, iirc, and I tried it a few times and didn't like it. I was seated when I got called to the 20 game and one player looked at me, laughed, and needled me w/ 'You play min bet?' to which I replied 'Min bet? You put up a whole, scary $3/orbit while you sit all night nut peddling while I'm shoving 30X the chips you put into play and that only when you've got the nuts and the rest of the time you play like a scared rabbit.' That shut him up.

Another time a lady sat the 8-16 and she said 'I'm sorry if I slow things down, I'm really nervous.' We asked why, she says 'I usually play the spread limit' we say 'The difference is that chips go in a lot faster in this game' she ends w/ 'That's what I'm nervous about.'

heh.

Btw, when TRUMP! started his run I joked 'If Trump wins I'm cashing out everything and am going to play every hand no matter what bec the universe is going to end w/i 5 minutes of his taking the oath of office.' That could happen w/ something weird like The Big Rip.

Enter what is saving me: I don't like playing anymore and haven't been to the casino other than to take mom to play the Wheel of Fortune at which, last visit, she lost a fortune. Maybe I'll perk back up if the universe doesn't actually end.

An old guy at the table a few days ago was very matter-of-factly explaining that, at the gym, if you tell a woman she has a nice rack, she'll get offended, but if you say she has a great ass, she'll take it as a compliment.

Likely true, because (she thinks) she worked hard to get her ass. And she thinks a "great ass" is a small one. (Personally I think it's a big one.)

How is it possible with 9 players plus a dealer at a table and nobody can remember who should have the button?

Darn. Well, post if you change your mind before the 20th. I'm not rolled for the size game you usually play, but it would probably be worth taking the shot.

I also like:

"Too much thinking here. There, it's easier because you almost always have odds to call."

And if all else fails:

"Way too many Obama voters here. More Trump voters there." (Switch the candidates to whichever way will reinforce your target's beliefs.)

I always go with something about not having to decide how much to bet.
