Foosa - I did get your email. Thanks for the feedback. I will put these into my backlog as I am starting an update shortly. I am also thinking about adding another feature that will scan your hand history file and calculate your "Luck" factor. Things such as are you getting pocket pair as expected per the number of hands in your HH, etc.

I am constantly reading about people who are saying Bovada is rigged and 8,2 wins every time, etc. I was thinking about a card distribution report and whether you had more luck or less luck than expected. Would also be a good way for folks who have large numbers of hand histories to get an idea of if the card distribution is accurate. Obviously would need a very large sample to calculate, but think it would be interesting. Since all hole cards are available, if you have several hundred hand histories you might get a good sample.

Anyone else who has suggestions, I would like to hear them.

I think luck-wise people would want to see how often they lose dominated hands. Like for me as a SnG player I would want to see how bad my luck is in allins, and I'm not sure what statistic test you would use. Perhaps a one sample test?

I have some losing sessions, and if I could see how unlucky I was in my allins for games on a certain date, I could tell if I was playing bad or getting unlucky.

Sort of complicated to do I imagine, and not entirely necessary.

Another idea is to track stats on the other players since you can see their hole cards. Obviously it wouldn't be able to track any individual person, but in games it would be really cool to find out what the average person's HUD stats would be, since games are anonymous, and a lot of the games go by fast.

noticed an error when importing a 6m MTT HH file. I forwarded it over to the email's provided. Hope you can get the bug fixed.

I know you can export to excel, but i would love to see some way to filter each column via the stats tab. (ie. i only want $10 SNG's to show up in the statistics tab)

Nevertheless, Great software!

GutPunch. I got your email. I was able to load the hand history file in your email without issue. Although I did notice the tournament number is getting truncated - I will fix that.

If you get a chance, see if you can load the file again please.

Thankfully with all the Bovada updates they have not changed the format of the hand history (it took them forever to fix the problems they had originally).

You can always PM me here if you need anything else as well or have any other suggestions.

Any idea when an update will roll around? Also would you look at some hand histories and see why they aren't getting imported? I have 748 hand history files, but only 711 get imported, and this has been the case with every instance of the program I have used. Also I bought a license for a computer, but I got a new computer and a new laptop, so I tried to send a new activation email, but haven't got a reply yet.

Foosa - If you are Hans then you should have received your code this afternoon. I should be all caught up on activation codes, so email me again if not please.

If you happen to know which of your HH do not import, would you mind sending a few of them to me at onlinepokermanager@gmail.com so I can see why they are not importing.

Thanks

I figured out what the problem is. I can illustrate it better with an example:

I have four tournaments, and their numbers are:
10170171, 10170172, 1017013, 1017017.

Under the "numbers" column in the statistics/tracking page, there is a tournament with the number 1017017. It's missing the eighth digit, so it seems that the program imports tournaments with unique seven digit identification numbers, and thus it thinks the other three tournaments are repeats. I'm guessing that Bovada recently had to start using eight digit numbers for tournaments, and the program doesn't account for that.

I changed one of the above numbers to something else (unique), and it was finally imported.

Granted it will take me a while to find the other 35 repeats.

Foosa - That was exactly the problem. Need to hire you for my QA work. I have updated the code and will try to put out the new version on the website this weekend.

Thanks!

Yeah I was able to use a file renaming program and I changed all of my tournament numbers to go from 100000 up to 100776.

A new version is now out on the website which fixes the 8 digit tournament number problem.

Thanks for fixing the number issue, it works perfectly now. I know I asked about this a while ago, and perhaps you are busy, but any chance there will be an update with new features? Primarily I just want to sort my stats page by tourney type and buy in, because the stats for ROI and ITM are kind of meaningless when it includes everything from a hyper turbo sit and go to a 10k 10-minute level MTT. I would honestly pay another $10 for this feature.

For anyone checking this forum for updates on the Online Poker Manager software, Bovada has made a mess of their hand histories with one of their latest updates.

There are some changes I will make the program to try to help, but some things I will need to wait until Bovada decides to fix their hand histories.

Here is an example of something I will not be able to fix.

Seat 3: Small Blind [ME] (1,085 in chips)
Seat 6: Big Blind (1,500 in chips)
Seat 4: UTG (1,480 in chips)
Seat 7: UTG+1 (1,480 in chips)
Seat 8: UTG+2 (1,500 in chips)
Seat 1: UTG+3 (1,500 in chips)
Seat 9: UTG+4 (1,965 in chips)
Seat 5: UTG+5 (1,500 in chips)
Seat 2: Dealer (1,490 in chips)

As you can see they do not have their seat numbers correct anymore, so when you replay the hand you will see the action jumping around the table. Since they are no player names, the seat numbers are very important.

Anyway, I will have a fix out in the next couple of days and I will email Bovada to have them fix their hand histories.

I've started trying to program my own poker tracking software for Bovada. Did you use visual studio? I'm really struggling with databases. If Bovada decides not to fix their hand histories, it may be possible to go off of purely positions.

Foosa,

I did use visual studio. For the database, I am using SQL Server Compact Edition. Which is a very lightweight database. It is a single file distributable and does not require any setup etc. It takes some getting used to working with databases in VS, but lots of examples online. Private message me if you need any help and I can see what I can do (I am not an expert by any means though).

Your note about going off of only the position is a good one. I could possibly do that, but you would move seats on every hand which kind of hurts the flow of the game.

I actually called Bovada about the issue today and it took 15 minutes for them to figure out I was talking about poker and they said poker reps were too busy to talk to me and they would have someone call me back. I gave them my number but got an email some hours later saying they could not call me on that number, only the number registered to my account. So I need to update my account then call them back.

The reply to my email explaining the issue was pretty funny. They said there was no collusion at my table and that the tournament played out just fine. Had absolutely nothing to do with the issue I referenced. I don't really hold out much hope but maybe if I can explain it to them in person.

I will try again tomorrow.
