Re: Poker Shortcuts: Software that makes playing on Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker EASIER!

FTSC user, but first time trying PokerShortcuts.

I'm running PokerShortcuts as admin (on Vista obv.)and not using Aero theme.

I'm using the Hypersimple theme for Stars and can't seem to get PokerShortcuts to resize my PS tables correctly. The same resizing feature works fine for FT, but I get a table that looks like this for PS:

In the "Calib" tab:
I've calibrated the felt color.
The current PS them is set to "PSTableHyperSimple"

In the "Table 2" tab:
I set it to Table Size - F and set F to "1,000"

Any other settings I need to double check to get the PS table sizing to work?

Thanks.

That's bad Stars sucks for AHK.
Is this impossible with AHK?
Apparently TableNinja can do it. It's not AHK though and I don't know how they do it.
It's pretty crucial for people who stack tables imo. Who gets timed out with a tiled layout?
On FTP I only ever need it for tables I don't see.

I am a FTShortcuts user and have been using Tableninja for stars. I downloaded the beta and registered today to try it on stars. At the moment is seems really slow. For example when you mouse over a table to activate it, its almost as if takes a full second to activate. It then takes another second to set the bet amount. FTshortcuts was always instant, and Tableninja is indeed instant. If you haven't tried Tableninja, download the demo and compare performance on stars. I was only playing 1 table too. Until you can get the performance near realtime, i think i'll wait.

feature request: table ninja allows you to click on a seat in stars and auto-buyin. I couldn't find an option to do that in shortcuts.

Users who need more complicated setups could then go the image capturing route.
I thought about doing it this way, but the filtering on Stars seems to be a little "course", meaning that I wasn't always able to filter to just the tables I wanted. If you and others would like to have an option to just open the tables starting at the top of the lobby, that would be pretty easy to implement.

I'm not able to duplicate the slowness problem here and a few of the beta testers have been playing 30+ tables. Perhaps it is some combination of settings, or an interaction with some other software. If you want to email me your PokerShortcuts.ini file, I'll try playing with your settings. Also let me know what other software you are using, and we'll see if some others are seeing the same thing.

On the Dialogs tab you can check the "Auto click on OK in the get chips" checkbox. This will buy in to the table with the default number of chips that you have configured on Stars.

Poker Shortcuts will click the I'm Back button for you if you time out, and your table is covered (the software does this by looking at the hand history file). But it looks like I need to clean up and clarify the documentation. If you enable the "Auto-click the I'm back button" on the SnG/T tab, it will do this for both tourneys and ring games.

Perhaps I should have 2 checkboxes, one for ring games and one for tourneys/sngs. Or, for ring games, perhaps the software should click the I'm back button only if the table is set to "deal me in" mode. Or perhaps the software could click I'm back only if the user timed out, and not when he manually sat out. Let me know what you think.

So try checking this box on the SnG/T tab, and verify that the software is clicking I'M back for you if you time out. Let me know.

This is usually are result of not configuring the f5 option during setup. See this:

I download it and I try it on an observed table, an husng table. If I highlight a player name it displays BB:0 and M:0

Re: Poker Shortcuts: Software that makes playing on Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker EASIER!

I can't seem to get the bet size option to work correctly. I have configured the "street Bet Ring" tab like this:

But when it's my turn to act, a much smaller amount is always entered into the bet window then what should be entered in. For example on a 200NL table with blinds of $1/$2 if the action is flded to me $4 will be entered into the window instead of $7.

And I will get a smaller amoutn if there has been action in front of me as well. If there has been action in front a bet size smaller then the min. raise allowed is usually entered into the window.

This is happening the same way on both PS and FT.

What can I do to get the bet amounts correct? Thanks.

As a side note, nano has worked for many years keeping FTSC uptodate for all of us for no additional charges ($$$). Isn't it about time we toss a few chips his way?
This is either an oversight or an outright lie. I seem to remember having to purchase a new license about a year ago when he went from version 2 to version 3.

It's a misinformed poster. Nano did charge yearly (small) update fees for the major version changes.

Nano - Being able to assign 3 different hotkeys is the nuts. I can fold using the keyboard, mouse button, or gamepad. So sick. Does PSC support mouse movement with analog stick, or do I need to use my joy2key script?

Since loading PSC, something happened with my FTS and it is now locked(unregistered) again. The software ID code changed? I sent an email to sales@windyhilltech.com

Yes, PSC can click the time button for you on buried tables. It can also click the I'm back button for you if you do happen to time out. As I mentioned above, I'll be adding a seperate checkbox for tourneys and ring games (for the I'm back condition).

I just added this trouble shooting tip that explains these issues in more detail:
http://windyhilltech.com/poker/ps/trouble.php#29

I also added some additional info on the Misc tab documentation, including a picture for how to cascade tables for maximum timeout protection when playing on poker stars:

We charge for a yearly major updgrade to the program. We do not charge for all the updates that we do during the year, which often adds new features and to keep the software working with the changes that Full Tilt often makes to their software.

The details have always been on our order form page.
