Not sure if this is the reason for it (I can't get PS to work, so don't use it) but from my own AHK experiments, simply sending a click to a specific co-ordinate doesn't always work (you sometimes have buttons only being "half-pressed"). If you move the mouse and send a click with code, clicking buttons seems to work a lot more consistently.

Hi,
I am wondering if this is considered to be a long term solution for pot betting. Is the mouse really supposed to move around like that? I find it almost unbelievable that anyone would consider that acceptable.

I am still getting incorrect bet amounts in the bet box on FTP.

when i hover mouse over bet...it puts me all in lol

this has been happening for weeks now.... problem occurs on 4x tiled or 6x tiled or even if i have 2 tables open.

using win xp. classic theme or xp theme.

I am seriously considering converting Poker Shortcuts to be an "open source/free software" project (probably under a GNU GPL v3 agreement).

Firefox is an example of open source software, where the software is free, and a community of users develop, test, document and support the software. I think it is a pretty awesome model for software development, and it can work well if there is a critical mass of people that have an active interest in the project. Gaining critical mass is probably the most challenging aspect for the success of a project.

Why would we be willing to go open source with Poker Shortcuts? We've aren't doing this for the money. As you may know, we give all of the money that we receive for our software to various charities (details here). And we personally don't have any interest in making a larger company. Going open source with Shortcuts would potentially allow it to grow and continue for years to come.

I have had a number of requests from users to add major additional features to Poker Shortcuts and to support additional poker sites. With the involvement of more people, I believe that a larger design group could substantially add to Shortcuts features and capabilities.

Regarding critical mass... a lot of you are already helping others with technical support on this forum. Over the last three years, most new feature ideas have come from active users. Some people have even sent me code examples for features that they would like to see in the software. Poker Shortcuts is written in AutoHotKey, and there are a lot of poker players that have written software in this language. Consequently, I believe that a critical mass could gel.

If you have been involved with an open source project, let me know your experience. If you would like more info on open source projects... There is a great "free" book available and a video and another video about open source projects. It might be overkill, but google offers project hosting to help with some of the tasks of running an open source project.

A wide variety of talents are needed, including web documentation, providing tech support, project management, testing, and writing code. If you have an interest in being involved, email me or post here on the forum.

p.s. If this plan were to take place, I would still be actively involved as I love writing software, and I think it would be a lot of fun.

We have decided to proceed with changing Poker Shortcuts to a free/open-source project. Thanks to all that have expressed interest/support, both here in the forum and in emails to me.

I hope to have the source code available within a few days (on Google Code). I'll post more info here and on our main web page when this is set up.

I don't know if it matters much at the moment, but I've found that it didn't click "wait for big blind" at a table size of 580 but it does click it at 527.

ok so tried it out today, using the latest version. Everything seems fine except for street bet. It just enters in "." when i try to use it. Am I doing something wrong?

I've been using poker shortcuts for FTP.

seems to work pretty well, except for one major problem:

It pre-fills the bet box all-in pre flop on any ring game table I have open.

in 9 handed MTTs, pre flop bet size works fine.

I've calibrated felt, tables, went thru troubleshooting.

cant get it to work... help!

pre flop... when playing ring games... it pre-fills the bet box with my entire stack..putting me all in pre flop!!!

it is supposed to pre fill 3x BB.. can someone pls tell me how to fix this???

When I use the option to toggle pre-action left checkbox on Action1.. It only lets me activate but when I press again it does not remove the check.. this happened after I updated to 31 from 29.

Guess I'll rollback unless someone has a solution

In addition to the mouse moving around, the joystick seems to be duplicating the input. For example, I have one table up and another table behind with pending action, if I hit the button on my joystick to fold, it folds on both tables. I have reverted back to version .29 in which the problem did not occur.

I have already notified support, but I wanted to give a heads up in case anyone else uses the joystick functionality.

Hi, is anyone else having problems with Shortcuts after the latest PS software update? My mouse wheel is no longer working in accordance with the wheelup function. It seems that I can wheeldown, but not up. My mouse wheel works fine on other applications. One more thing, I have the software set up to make my preflop bet 4x the BB with no limpers, but it's only inputting 3x. Thanks in advance for any helpful info.

I am having the same problem..not sure why it is doing this, it only does this when I open more than 4 tables, works fine with 4 and less
