Re: Poker Shortcuts: Software that makes playing on Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker EASIER!

Great job getting something working for us Nano. I just want to chime in with the problems I'm having so far. I may be repeating things other people have said, but hopefully this is helpful. Here are some of my issues:

1. The all in button is not working properly from the blinds.
2. Hitting the call button hotkey used to also click the check button (in FTS).
3. Bet amounts are being placed in the chat box.
4. Trouble configuring osds (I could be the problem here, but I'm ending up with black text when trying to change colors for certain stack sizes).
5. I'm ready button not working.
6. SNG registration problems (maybe unsolvable?)
7. There is some weird flickering (switching focus?) when tiling tables using both the hotkey in poker shortcuts and doing it through the table menu.

That's all I can think of for now. I'm rooting for you to get some of this figured out Nano.

Hi KS,
I can't seem to duplicate this problem calibrating the seats or the table felt.

I'm assuming you are trying to calibrate FT tables.
Could you try turning on the debug display and mouse the mouse around the empty table. Check the "Class Name" value (which tells the class of objects under the mouse). It should be "QWidget" everywhere on the table. Are you seeing something else anywhere?

Which table theme are you using? I try your setting.
Any other clues?

How do I fix this error? None of the features work on my PS b/c I cannot calibrate it.
I'm not able to duplicate this problem. So if you only have one Poker Stars table open (with no players seated), and you click on the "Calibrate Felt Colors - Poker Stars" button, you get this error message?

Do you see the Stars table become highlighted (the title bar light up to a brighter color of blue)?

Ok, I updated to the latest version, 4.0022, and this is still an issue for me. Just when I thought I was out... they pull me back in!

And now that I'm on 4.0022, I'm having another problem. My fixed bet tab seems non-functional. I'm using a MX Revolution, with SetPoint software telling the buttons to act as if they are "Alt-Left" and "Alt-Right". This is particularly nice because it does what I expect in web browsers.

The set up in the Fixed bet tab is the same as it was for 4.0016, but none of the buttons on my mouse change the bet size at all. I can scroll wheel away from the default size set in Street Bet Ring, but even RClick won't return the bet size back to normal.

Again, this is all on Stars.

Check out the info on the Deal Me documentation on the web site. Deal Me mode works very differently on Poker Shortcuts than it did with FT Shortcuts.

Re: Poker Shortcuts: Software that makes playing on Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker EASIER!

Thanks for all of your testing and reporting the problems that you find. I do read all of the posts. Sorry, I don't have time to respond to them all.

I have been working on fixing bugs, and still hope to have a new version out late Thursday night (I'm on US west coast time).

I just read through pages 40-50 of these forum posts and I have just updated the bug list page with items I have been able to confirm. Some of the problems are configuration issues, so please be sure that you have done all of the configuration steps. Some issues are related to tables size. If you change to another table size, the problem often disappears.

Table Mods: I know that these are important to many of you, and Shortcuts will me able to support many of them, but they often cause problems with Poker Shortcuts getting information off the table. It complicates the troubleshooting process, as it adds so many new variables and it's sometimes difficult to tell if the mod is the problem or a problem with the software. Until we get further down this road, it would help me if we only used standard tables.

In order to make this process more efficient, I need your help. There are so many variables (table sizes, table themes, configuration settings, 2 poker sites, etc.) that it makes it difficult for me to duplicate the problem you are having. I end up trying many different tables sizes and themes, and often can't duplicate the problem. For problems that are not listed in the bug list, please post (or email me) a screen image of your table when the problem is occuring. Turn on the debug display and capture it too. Here is an example image to model. This type of image usually gives me all the info I need to duplicate and troubleshoot the problem.

Again, thanks to all of you that have been helping to answer questions here in the forum. I don't think I would have any awake hours left in the day if I answered them all myself

This is going to take awhile to work though all the issues that were caused by this FT upgrade. I appreciate your patience. Also, thanks for all of your words of encouragement!

Re: Poker Shortcuts: Software that makes playing on Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker EASIER!

Ummm, Gary...

I just tried doing what you asked (screen shot w/ debug mode, no mods ) for a couple of the bugs and Print Screen doesn't appear to work w/ PSC open. I close PSC and it works just fine...

?!?

I mentioned earlier about the whole Ctrl+C won't work when I make notes on players to copy what I wrote for other players notes as well (ie. what level the note is for), because PSC auto copies something else on its own and sometimes auto copies all of chat when I fold.

Well, that would be why "Print Screen" isn't working...it is, but PSC has it copying something after I hit PrntScn...that's the only thing that makes sense.

HTH's and I really hope you find this issue cuz it's a serious PITA.

Also, how are we going to be able to send screen shots if PSC erases/copies something else immediately (all the time?) after hitting Print Screen?

I was trying to take a SS of OSD 1 w/ debug mode on, so that you might could tell why the OSD 1 (specifically the timer which is the only overlay I used to use on FTS) flickers as well as the betting window entries (ie. bet amounts) flicker and do not allow more than 1 digit to be entered since it highlights whatever is in the betting window.

Again, hope that helps some!

eta: If you close FT, but leave PSC open, Print Screen works as it should. Just trying to eliminate things here...

Does anyone else have the same problem w/ Print Screen w/ PSC open?

I completely removed all mods from FT and that's what the above post is in reference to.

Re: Poker Shortcuts: Software that makes playing on Poker Stars and Full Tilt Poker EASIER!

<-------- Moron alert itt.

I,,,,er,,,,uhhhhhhh,,,, screwed up and DL'd .0022 to the wrong folder and was still pointing The Opener to the older version.

I am back in business,,,thx Gary. With the little testing I did today, I found what others have. Most notably the need to double/triple/quad click my side button to fold/call.

EDIT: re:dbl click. When this happens the most for me. Mouse on Table A and mouse jumps Home to Pending table B. <<<I will pause here to let PSC "catch up" if needed>>> The bet amount is correctly proportioned. If I side button click to fold, the bet amount changes to a lower dollar figure but does not fold me. Another click or two will fold me. Not sure if this helps....but one more piece of the puzzle maybe.

<<<<As an aside, playing without PSC for a few days highlighted for me the one feature that was not mentioned once as being on the top of everyone's list as I NEED THIS......moving the mouse to active table. Trying to multitable without has been......very trying. While tons of your features are useful, I think in the future, this function will always top my list>>>
