Re: HoldemResources.net: Beta/Feedback

My IE 9.0.8112 also still does not show the beta calculator, but with no error message. Safari works fine. Anybody have an idea on how to fix this for IE? I tried installing the latest version of Java, but it didn't make a difference.

Re: HoldemResources.net: Beta/Feedback

Page is only using JavaScript on the client site. Despite the confusing naming, JavaScript <-> Java are completely different languages / runtimes. Just make sure your security settings allow the site to run JavaScript, you do not need to have Java installed.

If you can get access to the JavaScript console/error log and post it here, i will try to fix it. I am afraid i can't be of more help atm, i don't have access to a recent windows version and IE9 appears to require at least Vista.

Re: HoldemResources.net: Beta/Feedback

Quick check: when considering multiple all-ins with multiple pay-offs, if two players are eliminated, are they ranked (for the prices) accordingly to their stack size at the start of the hand, or do they split prices?

(it is the former for pokerstars tournaments and SNG, is this correct?)

Re: HoldemResources.net: Beta/Feedback

Players are ranked according to stacks at the start of the hand, i think that is standard on all sites.

Re: HoldemResources.net: Beta/Feedback

Ok. What about the beta feature though, from this SNG 6-man bubble spot, the overcalling range is 2.6%, but beta gives 8.5% overcall, would this be a bug?

Re: HoldemResources.net: Beta/Feedback

The Beta shows 2.6%, TT+ AKs for me as well. I think you may be mistakenly looking at the BB call range for BUs shove.

Re: HoldemResources.net: Beta/Feedback

Hello, can I somehow get the ICM Nash Calculator (current version) in the offline version? I want to do some research for tournament play. It would be great if it'll be able to connect MS Excel VBA (com-object or dll) or even a command line interface.

Re: HoldemResources.net: Beta/Feedback

Some news regarding a downloadable version:
I am actively developing a gui version and aim to start a public beta test by the end of the month.

If you are interested in helping with the closed testing in the meantime, please drop me a pm. Especially need testers on Mac OS! (Established 2p2 accounts preferred.)

Re: HoldemResources.net: Beta/Feedback

The core features of the GUI version are almost complete. Current functionality is basically equivalent to the Web Beta, with two additional equity models (Weitzman and PSM).

An early Beta version is available for testing here:
http://www.holdemresources.net/calcu...beta/download/

Requirements:
You need to have Java 6 Runtime installed. Download it here.

Please keep in mind that this is a very early version, the program is not feature complete at this point. (Hand import is on top of my todo list.)

Re: HoldemResources.net: Beta/Feedback

Yeah, that would be great. I have never seen the software on OS X yet, would really appreciate some screenshots, especially of anything non-native/weird looking.

Windows, Mac and Linux Versions are all up here:

PS: Just put up some update to allow navigation via the Outline table.

Re: HoldemResources.net: Beta/Feedback

Hi,

Many thanks for the software, it's just awesome

One small stuff I noticed, is that in the 'outline' part when u hover, the 'M-factor' displayed doesn't take correctly into account antes :

Here blinds are 100/200/25 and stacks are 5250. M is 10 but it displays 16.15, which is 5250/325. It only takes into account one ante instead that one ante by player.

But maybe I misunderstood and the Ante part to fill up is the total ante and not the ante by player ?

edit:
Another question : Is there any plan to make some hands "savable". So I can save and load later some simulations ?

Thx

Re: HoldemResources.net: Beta/Feedback

Ah, good catch about the Ante bug in the Tooltip. Just fixed that, will be in the next update.

Saving hands is something i will likely add at a later point. (I don't want to worry about maintaining compatibility of saved hands this early in the development.)

On top of my TODO is loading of sessions from tracker databases (and probably re-steal spots after that). I am open for other feature requests though. What is the most popular tracker for SnG/MTT regs btw. I guess it is still HM1?

Re: HoldemResources.net: Beta/Feedback

Hey I really like this tool, it's good to try out scenarios with. Since the update though, I have a problem with the antes. When I create a scenario, it seems you can't set antes to 0, it resets it to 100. A workaround is to just make it really small and it work again. Thanks for the cool program.

Oh and I think if you're importing sessions it would be great if it worked for hm1 and pt4 once it's out. I use pt3 but would be happy to wait for pt4 compatibility because it's a lot better.
