The SkinChanger helps you to "skin" the PartyPoker software. It copies the necessary files to the right directories. You can flexibly arrange your skin seeing a preview before it is installed.

Installing

1. Download the SkinChanger programs (see section Download)
2. Start SkinChanger.exe
3. If you already have a Skin folder then click "Yes", browse to that directory and select it; otherwise click "No"!
4. Look for new skins via "right click" -> "Check for Updates" or use the shortcut "F5"

Setting up the PartyPoker client

(example for english client)

• Table Options->General Options: "Enable 4-color deck"
• Table Options->General Options: Uncheck "Display charakter/player image on table"
• Player Image->Classic Table Characters: "Classic characters"
• Themes->Card Decks: "Default"
• Themes->Table Themes->New Table: "Default"
• Themes->Table Themes->Classic Table: "Default"
• Themes->Switch Table: "PartyPoker classic"/"New PartyPoker"

New skins & own skins

Just link to your new skins in here and I'll add them to the map pack if there are 3 or more people voting for it. Alternatively you can put the skins in the skin folder(s) on your own.

In case you want to create your own skin you can follow these steps:

1. Copy all images of the PartyPoker client that you want to modify into a seperate folder
2. Now modify the images as you like
   a) if it is a classic layout, name the table "carpet.jpg" and copy the "table.png" from another skin (its just 1pix transparent png)
   b) if it is a modern layout, name the table "Table_Carpet.jpg" heißt
3. Move this directory into the Skin folder (with respect to the skin folder structure)
4. Optionally restart the SkinChanger and install your new skin

Such a shame there aren't almost any replies yet.
Software works great and is perfect imo.

Really nice work and I hope some other people test it out too and at least have the decency to thank you here.



As to whether the program is safe... It's open source, check the code, compile it and run it, if you're that scared.

Don't you have any other ways of donation? Moneybookers/...?

Edit:- I think I have found the problem, a skins directory left over from a very old version of Party Skinner. As soon as I deleted that it seems to work ok.

@IN THE OVEN: Regarding Donation: No, at the moment theres only the possibility to donate via PayPal because I only play unregularly any poker, so I dont have Moneybookers or Netteller or something like that... When I play some hands I play at PartyPoker

I get an error when I hit the update, it seem to download all skins then this pop-ups:
"There was an error while unzipping!
Error code:
22222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222222 22222222222222222222222222222222222222222"

When I press 'OK' it tells me 139 skins were updated but when I try to press up or scroll I get the:
"Line-1:

Error: Array variable subscript badly formatted."
I press 'OK' and the software closes.

Also there are no new skins installed in the directory I choose for my skins.

@Lewkiz: This is a problem during the skin extracting stage, when skins downloading is completed and the auto extract process should start. Probably you dont have the standard Windows zip-Handler anymore. This happens when another program "claims" the .zip extension then the standard windows built-in application. Did you assign another program to handle .zip files?

Furthermore it could be the OS itself: What OS do you use? (Win7 esp. 64bit may be an issue)

Anyway in ordner to use the SkinChanger without having the skins download problem you can download all the skins here in one zip file and extract them manually into your skin folder. This should do the trick. Restart the SkinChanger after extraction.
But updating the skins will remain a problem though.

This wont work for me. Or the program works fine, but when i save a table and launch party poker, its just the old skin on the tables?

@ MadMag: Did you set up the partypoker client properly? maybe you dont use the default theme in PP. si SkinChanger manipulates only the standard theme. Or perhaps you mixed up the old and modern layout? You must set the layout accordingly.

You can post the content of the settings.ini file. Its saved where the SkinChanger.exe is located.

If you wanted to download from my server than its definitely a false alarm. Some programs tend to be a bit too harsh, but thats a good thing. Maybe it alerts because SkinChanger does check for program and skin updates if you want to.
If you dont trust in the exe, then maybe you want to compile to program on your own: See attached links of the first post for source code.

If you have any questions regarding particular code lines dont hesitate and ask.
If you have any more questions regarding program use, jsut ask!

This looks great, will try later.

Downloaded it, set up a new theme, opened PartyPoker, everything worked first time. Will give it a grindtest later see if the alerts and stuff still work fine. This needs more publicity, I only stumbled across it searching for PartyPoker's new release thread.

I had a little trouble getting it to work at first but after I updated it to the latest version it works great. Great piece of software, awesome job!

Works pretty good once you download the latest version + skins.

Are you gonna add dealer button and chips in later updates?

As improvement suggestion: would be nice to be able change lobby using this app.
I'm using the black, tired of the green one...

For me its not working.
Just the screen and no button do anything.
Any suggestion?
