HUD Free, open source poker tracking software: FPDB - (Version 0.40.5) - Nov 14, 2013 - Page 341 - Poker Software -- Two Plus Two Poker Forums

Thank you for developing such a great product, but unfortunately mine has stopped working.

It started with the HUD sometimes not showing up, then never showing up. I deleted everything and re-installed. Now the program wont start at all. When I open fpdb is comes up for ~1 second then disappears. Checked task manager and its not running.

If the easiest solution is wiping it off my computer completely and starting over im fine with that, but just deleting folder/re-installing gives same issue so I need to know how to do that.

Sounds like you may have a corrupted database or a wonky config file. If you're on windows they should be in %appdata%\fpdb - delete or rename and try running the program again.

Actually, I do have a question. I'm running version 0.41.0-rc7 on Windows 7. I play on PokerStars. While the HUD is running, if I try to right click on one of the HUD windows to see a player's full stats, it shuts the HUD down. Is there a way I can fix this?

Hi, I have a problem when I go to bulk import. A window briefly flashes up then closes before I can do anything. Is there a known issue with bulk imports?

I can't think of one. Anything relevant in the logs? Help menu -> Log messages.

I imported from a folder no problem. The flashing and closing problem happens for some reasons like windows defender blocking the software, that doesnt look like the case here as your software is open. Sometimes my software can close when I push the button to show my stats but it was temporary.

How do you expect the HUD to work without access to the hand histories?

I thought HUD was tracking what's on my screen to display data. I don't want to analyze previous hands, I just want to display number of big blinds I have at any time. Sorry if I don't understand well. Thing is: there is no hand history path for Winamax. I think hands history are stored in a server. Do I have to create a hand history path or is it impossible to use that HUD with winamax? Thanks in advance.

I just want to track and log my own play similar to the bankroll manager on Poker x Factor. Any recommendations? I play on Bovada exclusively, only looking for free. Not looking for a HUD, just ways to track profits, breakdowns etc...

I can't seem to be able to modify the HUD, where can I do this? I read somewhere about an xml file, but that doesn't exist in the FPDB folder. I have version 0.41.0-rc6 (is this the latest version?)

Nope. I have published rc7 (but it has a known HUD crash bug so if it doesn't specifically fix something that bothers you, it's probably not worth upgrading).

Thanks for your quick reply. Could you point me to where I can see the differences between rc06 and rc07? I can only find differences between 0.30 and 0.40 here at 2+2. Also, is FPDB discontinued?

Define 'discontinued'. There is a non-zero chance I will personally publish at least one more update. If I don't, the code is all public so anyone could pick up development.

Found it. I vaguely remember editing the HUD before and pretty sure I did it in some kind of interface though, not directly in the xml. Am I wrong? And also, is there a general config file where default folder for bulk import can be defined?

. I obv get that, but my preference for bulk import is a different folder than all the site HH paths and FPDB keeps going to my Full tilt HH path.

Ah, you can set the attribute "hhBulkPath" on the import tag in your config file and it will override.

Hi,

I'm sure it's something i didn't configure, but i'm having a problem with importing using bovada hand histories. The log shows these errors on every hand.

2016-01-27 08:59:10,000 parser ERROR hhc.getRake(): '3217075947': Amount collected (1.55) is greater than the pot (1.00)

And when i try and look at hand history, graphs, etc everything comes up blank since it appears the import failed. I only play fixed limit ring games, not tournaments if that matters. I tried briefly to look through this thread but it's so huge i was quickly overwhelmed. Apologies if this question has been answered ad nauseum.

Any help you can provide would be appreciated.

Have you had this working before? If I understand correctly bovada has been fiddling with their software lately, maybe something changed with their hand histories.
