It's probably some kind of windows, right? That's all I want to know.
The link from step 1 goes to the release page, which has so many different zip files on it. If you're on windows, you want this one.

So you unzip the thing and you should get a folder? Inside the folder should be an fpdb.exe program file? Run that.

Try running the file called fpdb, instead of fpdb.exe. Windows is so dumb.

tyvm its now working and ive got the software up, sorry for being annoying but can you advise how I sit it up with pokerstars and basically get it up and running

Set your screen name and hand history path in site preferences (the detect button might autodetect them for you). Set pokerstars to save hand histories in English.

Run autoimport and play some poker.

FPDB can't find the hand history folder you gave it for pokerstars. Double check that.

right ive sorted that and I can see the rest of the database that I couldn't before however the HUD is not showing up ingame and the hands are not importing

Help -> Log Messages. Are there any clues?

Anyone else have problems with full ring playing on BetOnline. Importing only seems to work consistently in 6-max (thousands of hands without a problem).
In full ring it will randomly stop importing after anywhere between 1-300 hands. Have to restart the client and fpdb to get it to import again. I think it has to do with the issue with having to change the config file for 10-max.
Hopefully full ring and tournaments will be fixed in future versions of fpdb.

Did you make the recommended config file changes? Is there anything that looks helpful in the log messages when this problem occurs?

First time trying this, i got importing working but hud/graps or anythnig else aint showing up, what might be wrong?

HUD not shoving for SPIN and GO. Auto import works normaly, and HUD shoves on cash tables.

Yes, there's no layout defined for 3 seat games. You have to add one. Here is a post about adding a 5-max layout to full tilt. Adapt as needed for 3-max on stars.

Hmm, that would happen if it doesn't recognise the HH format for that file. It should just skip importing that file completely, which would not cause the behaviour you describe. I'm out of ideas, unfortunately.

Should AIev work?

For hold'em and 4-card omaha, yes. For other games, no.
