It's possible to do that, but I don't know if there was some clever reason to do it the way it is, so I'm a bit hesitant to go messing around with it. I guess that's what beta is for.

I fixed replay for stud and draw in one of my releases. Are you using my latest?

Yes, but you need to be prepared to mess around a bit installing some bleeding edge stuff. There is no distro package - you have to run from source.

I used the version 0.40.5 for couple months. Then I downloaded 0.41.0 and when I tried to launch it for the first time I got some error message (I can't remember what it was). After error message I couldn't open the software. Nothing happens when I try to run it. I have set all permissions to the firewall and the virusprotection and run it as an administrator.

I deleted 0.41.0 and tried to go back 0.40.5 but it doesn't open up either. I downloaded 0.41.0 once more but no success. I have WIN7 64bit, postgress 9.2.9. What should I do?

Have a look in the "%appdata%\fpdb" folder and see if you can find the log files. Maybe there is some information in there about what's gone wrong.

Here is the report of a bug:
when I climb with the cursor (arrow) on the HUD, this will disappear after a few seconds, before displaying the popup (in fact it seems to me as if to disappear just a micro-second before).
I try to move on to another player disappears and reappears too while the previous one.
And it continues: every time you step on the HUD another player that disappears and reappears before.
I made some attempts by closing the program and making sure I share in administrator mode but the problem persists.
I tried to click on the window of the table where the player who belongs to HUD, to select it, but nothing keeps disappearing HUD.
I noticed today that, after it disappears, if I click on the title bar of the HUD reappears. But just going back on disappears again.
Finally, if I can get to click the right button and you see the popup stat, not more disappears the HUD.

1) if now I'd like to edit the HUD config file, do i still edit the very same one as in previous version?

2) all the tabs seems to have lost the X "close" buttons - is this meant to be?

3) do you still need translators? I speak polish and I'm happy to help

4) would you like some help with making a different looking or better resolution icon then this one? :



5) would you like some help with any sort of graphics anyway? (mucked cards, hand replayer visuals etc)

There is a polish translation, but even without knowing the language I can look at it and see it has some errors. I'm not sure what the process is for working on the translations, though. Steffen has been active in IRC this week, he might know.

Graphics are a matter of personal taste. I can certainly agree that some of the current ones are rudimentary at best. If you want to work on them, go ahead. If I like what you make I will include them. Please don't be offended if my personal taste is not the same as yours.

The asterisks are sourceforge dot net. I'm not sure why 2+2 is censoring it, but it could be because sourceforge has been increasingly shady of late. I don't think they've done anything bad with the FPDB download yet, but it's not like I monitor it. You might like to try one of my release candidates from github.

I like the ring but the FPDB and table pattern, not so much.

Yes, it looks like you have (had?) a non-ascii character in your config, or maybe it's the non-ascii in your windows username causing problems. I've actually done some work fixing this with a helpful user on IRC recently so if I ever make a new release it might be fixed. As far as fixing your problem, you should find your HUD_config.xml (probably in %appdata%\fpdb) and rename it. It probably got corrupted by the problem in which case you can just delete it anyway.

Then try running 0.40.5 again, it should recreate a fresh config for you. I'm a bit surprised 0.40.5 could handle it where my beta didn't, so if you're up for it a bit of experimentation would be helpful, but as I said this is hopefully fixed in my source already.

I've never seen this, a bit hard to figure out without reproducing myself. I will try but I doubt I can solve it easily, sorry.

I started using v0.41.0-rc6 but i've got couple of problems.
The main one is displayed discards in Badugi.
Often the graphics are messed up, often i see 5 cards displayed rather then four (displaying discards?) , often there are blank cards displayed et.c

EDIT: wrong cards are being displayed as well

It's weird that it doesn't happen every single time...

Could it be because I've changed my Table.png?
I've also changed the fpdb.exe icon

Ah yep, badugi right? I expect this is the same issue as I fixed with the hand replayer for badugi. Fixed in source, will be in the mythical next release candidate.

Not sure if this is the right place but in the Hand Viewer tab it would be cool to see a filter to see hands that reached showdown for the selected player. The filter exists in the Ring Player tab but there's no way to replay them.
