Tried it awhile ago and nice that it was a one-click installer this time. Got the HUD running etc but it just goes totally crazy, it moves with no logic. I move the table 50 pix to the right, it goes 50 pixels down etc. I got it in a nice position and then pressed "save layout" but i dunno, didnt seem to do anything.

a very nice tool, which works properly for me, esp. for its free. I use the 0.40.2 version.

Though, I have a HUD problem. The stats for other players been resetted to "0" hands every time to time for no specific reason. Sometimes after more hands, sometimes even after 5 - 10 hands.

Anyone had this problem or can help?

And yes, my default settings are "All levels" and "Number of seats: Exact" for both Hero and other players.

Hi guys. So I got everything working. The HUD-issue I mentioned above was solved the session just after and I spewed away a lot of cash in stud

Got 5 issues/comments/questions.

1) I assume the HUD filters for only that game by default? So if we play 8game and it shows 30/20/30 hands then its just for that game which last hand we just finished? Correct? That would be the most logical approach.

2) I installed it on two computers now and it seems that either something is wrong with the ring game stats. I have no strange filters, I have tried both leaving the date blank and also an interval which is well covering the dates I played. So I played the 27th aug an the hands got imported and I then tried to set the interval at 20 aug - 5 sep. It never shows anything. Obviously I checked the different kinds of filters and they are very general and nothing sticks out, 2-10handed. Dont get anything in any sort of combination.

3) I imported a tourney. First of all, I cashed but it doesnt mention it. I imported both the tournament summary + hand history so I am not sure why it doesnt work. Dont care supermuch about this feature though but it would be nice for it to work.

4) Isnt there a replayer working? I wanted to replay this tournament and go through some hands but cant find anything. Also I tried the tournament graph-thing but it also shows blank. Tried both "refresh" as well as "Refresh graph", kinda unclear what it refers to btw, not very intuitive.

5) I played some cashgames after and it appears that the ringgame-stats work but is it still not able to combine all stakes at a game? Since its hard to really grind mixed games and especially 8game, it would be nice to see how I do overall at 08, how I do at stars or full tilt isnt really relevant. Maybe it would be nice to have a summary-row at the end and then we can filter the games at least? Also then we can see how we do overall with all games etc.

I recently downloaded this program therefore I am new to it. Is it possible for me to see my opponents whole cards in the replayer so I can see what I was up against? Thanks in advance.

I found out, that the stats are set back to 1 hand every time a player is kicked of the table in a SNG. Regardless how many hands have been tracked before, after that all stats are resetted and the hands before are lost. HUD restart doen´t change anything.
How is this possible?

FPDB basic install procedure ?

I'm looking into the FPDB questionnaire page at sourceforge, and I think I'll try installing FPDB. I just started scanning the site for info, so I may have to look further. From what I gather there's a "Full Windows install" and an install of all the components manually? What is a basic rundown of the procedures that I go through to install FPDB?

Should I do a full Windows install:
1) Get either a PostgreSQL or a MySQL database in working order?
2) Then do a full Windows install from somewhere?

Or is a manual install of each component more stable if done correctly:
1) Get either a PostgreSQL or a MySQL database in working order?
2) Install Python ver 2.6?
3) Install that "GTK" (whatever that is...)?
4) Download and extract the latest snapshot?
5) Run fpdb.py?

I'm mainly going to use it to grab my hand histories so that I can start reviewing and posting some of them. I may use the HUD and stats as I get more familiar with them. But as long as FPDB grabs hand histories, I won't worry too much about other features at the moment. I had a small problem installing PostgreSQL so that I could try the PT/HEM trials, so that's why I was thinking of getting a working database installed and working first. Are the above two procedures about all that's required to get FPDB up and running on a newer Win version? What about databases hogging resources? Is MySQL much slower running than PostgreSQL?

I just noticed those 2 links to stable releases of FPDB before posting this, so I'll go check out those two sites. Still, should I definitely go with PostgreSQL or is MySQL pretty good also?

There is no way to tell with Bovada if it's 6max or 9max, unfortunately.

I am not an expert but IMO it's exactly what "Number of seats: Exact" is supposed to do. So just choose another setting if you don't want this.

I am trying to get the HUD working with SWC. FPDB imports hands just fine but the HUD main window doesnt show the name of any tables and the HUD doesnt work. Also when I try to right click and run "run_fpdb.bat I get this error.

Running it not as admin allows it to run without error.

does it only support cash game for swc? im not able to import any tourney handhistorys.

The ones we've seen don't have Tourney No. so they're basically useless. If that's changed we can support them.

ok i just had a look at them and the have indeed no tourney nr... so no tourney hud for swc.

satoshi poker uses almost the same hh like stars including tourney no etc.
whould it be possible to add support for them? for cashgame only the name of pokersite in reports is different. for tourney i think also the tourney names are different.

this is the worst hud ive ever used

- if i move the table 1 pixel, a bunch of the huds move off the screen
- whenever i click a table the huds disappear
- only half the player huds are showing up
- does not import past hands

i got the bulk import started, but it froze partway thru

i can get around this by never moving a table after i get hud working on it

the HUD windows are scrambled alllll over the screen (and off the screen) when you start the HUD. you have to move each table to every corner of your screen to try to find each HUD window. if ur on a couple tables with some of the same people on each table, 1 of the HUDs is for each table, and if its on the wrong table, when you click that table the HUD on wrong page disappears so thats one way to figure out that problem.

its difficult to find all of the off-screen HUDs. i have to move each table all over the place. if im lucky the HUD for all players will eventually show up. this is pretty ridiculous. HEM, PT, and Holdem Indicator dont have this problem.

i got bulk import started, but it freezes after 150 import files and i have to Ctrl Alt Delete it. i restarted the program and tried again and it still screws up at same spot. i'll try delete the HH that it fails on.


also, what are the abbreviations on the HUD? i'm not sure what some of those stats are, or how to edit them, or if thats even possible

Hey, I have been trying hard to get this to work, thank you for developing a free HUD though even if it never works for me

I can import hands without any problems or errors, but the HUD will never start up. The error log is filled with

importer : ERROR Failed to send hand to HUD: [Errno 22] Invalid argument

I disabled my anti virus as it said elsewhere in this thread but it didn't help. I went into the config file looking to change stat="car" to car0 like it said somewhere else but I didn't even find that string. Any ideas on what this problem could be?

I should also mention that every other function of the program works well, so I don't think it's a database access error.

Also I found this in Hud-errors.log

glib.GError: Unable to load image-loading module: C:/Python27/Lib/site-packages/gtk-2.0/runtime/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-svg.dll: `C:/Python27/Lib/site-packages/gtk-2.0/runtime/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/libpixbufloader-svg.dll': The specified module could not be found.

OK i found a work around for the first problem I had. I installed python and then CTRL-F for the libpixbufloader-svg.dll file, found it somewhere in the fpdb directory, copied it, created the path it wanted "C:/Python27/Lib/site-packages/gtk-2.0/runtime/lib/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders/" and pasted it in there.

Now the hud window comes up, but still no hud because of this error:

hud : ERROR Error: self.window doesn't exist.
hud : ERROR Can't find table Riviera %2AFast II
hud : ERROR HUD create: table name Riviera %2AFast II not found, skipping.

I will update if I find a solution. Maybe the problem is the %2A, not sure why that is in there or how to fix.

**FINAL UPDATE**: so it's the * in the table name that confuses the program. The table name is Riviera *Fast II, but for some reason the program uses %2A instead of *. If there is anyway to fix this on my end let me know, otherwise maybe it's something that could be patched one day. Otherwise my fix worked fine.
