I would love to help you out, but I have no idea what to send. I checked my errorlogs and found none, It's just not doing anything, so that's why there are no logs I guess.

My previous post contained a link to the snapshots directory. It is available (and quite stable) right now. You will need to delete any old config and recreate your database and re-import hands unfortunately.

We need hand histories for every combination of Network, Game and Type. We pretty much support everything we've been given, but have only a limited number of hand histories for each site. Looking at http://****************/apps/mediawik...story_Bounties shows what we have, and for Cake and Entraction it is very limited.

!st of all, I am very impressed by FPDB (I've done my small share in translating into Dutch and the last 25% of Spanish)


Just a quick remark regarding the last snapshot: fpdb-git-20120101-7ff96f8.exe

I think half of the file has stayed behind in 2011, it is only 7.2 Mb and does not extract, it gives an .exe error.

I am in Poland atm & downloaded the software. It d/l in Polish language, which I cannot speak. How do I change it to English?

Open the FPDB, go to Main (the first item) go to the advance preferences (3 item). Inside General change the "pl" into "en" (no quotes) :

iu_languaje "pl"
iu_languaje "en"

restart th FPDB.

I can't find anything to do with languages. I clicked 1/3/everything..

@Pureklas - hopefully this image will help.
Even if you can't read the Polish, the menu-items are always in the same place.
Were (in my place) it says 'nl' you have to double-click, then change 'nl' or 'pl' or whatever, in 'en' (without quotation marks)
However, sometimes FPDB needs a few restarts before the change actually happens.

PS, you can also change the 'HUD_config.xml' with any text-editor (Notepad f.e.). This file, in Windows, can be found in the 'USER-FOLDER'\AppData\Roaming\fpdb\
This file always is in English. Find 'ui_language=' in one of the first lines, and replace 'PL' for 'EN'

Really appreciate that you took the time to post that for me. However, under general I only have 2 things:

- day_start 5
- config_wrap_len -1

There is no languages.

i have two questions:
1) when you put out 0.27 will i have to loose all my configs and recreate all tables loosing the hands i have?
2) how can i have a delimiter like | between the stats? editing the .xml but how?

Very strange.
It could be the config-file is corrupted.
In this case, you could try to go to the folder as I described in my post, open up HUD_config.xml and look through the first few lines. If ui_language is also not there, there is a problem with it.

What you then could do is: stop FPDB, delete the HUD_config.xml file alltogether and restart FPDB.
In this case, because it is not able to find any config-file, it should come up with a window asking you for the language you want to use, there choose English by double-clicking it.
Bad part is that now you have to go into configuring the screen-names and history paths of the sites you play at again.

Something is wrong. I can't find that user-folder. I have tried reinstalling the software & it's the same.

Pureklas - strange question - are you using windows?
If you are, this file should be in:
c:\users\"your username for this computer"\AppData\Roaming\fpdb\

You should be able to locate the precise location if you click in the FPDB-menu on 'Help - About', it's the line just above the white window.
The same can be achieved by right-clicking on the FPDB-icon in the windows-tray, and then left-click on 'About'

Ok found it. Using W7 btw. Went to the editor and the language line is not there. Tried control f to make sure.

OK, then try to do what I put in my answer from 08:15PM - stopFPDB - delete the HUD_config.xml - restart FPDB

Ok, deleted files. Language appears. Changed to en. Restarted a bunch of times, including comp. Still in Polish lol.

Can you now get into the official configuration through the menu: Main - Advanced Preferences - General - ui_language
If so try checking and changing it there.
I just did (on my Vista machine) and it worked: change - stop FPDB - start FPDB - different language, and vice versa.

One other thing, to be sure that Windows 7 accepts any changes, best is to start FPDB as Administrator (just right-click on the icon or batch-file and choose 'Run as Administrator')

Sorry I meant language appears in the official config. Just checked appdata folder and it is there as en as well. I tried running as admin & resaving under admin. Restarted few times & it still doesnt work. Gross.

Are you running the same version as I put above?
My experience that it didn't change language correctly, was from the original 0.26 version.
The snapshot I mentioned has several updates etc. incorporated, and this is the one I was trying it with, and worked at the first try.

Updated it, but Im pretty sure it was the same version. Still not working.

1) Yes and yes. You will need to delete the config file and allow fpdb to recreate. Its a pain, but we've only so much manpower. Making upgrades work just isn't something anyone is spending time on.

2) I dont know if this is possible.

I don't think the language change worked in 0.26.

I _think_ you can got into the pyfpdb/locale/ directory and delete everything not associated with en_GB safely.

Is it possible to stop the stats popping up when you mouse over the HUD? I can't figure out what this would be under in the configuration, if at all.
