Awesome

1Does that mean there is a (semi-)functional state in a public git repo?

I am currently on my laptop, which is nearly 6 years old and has a 1024x768 screen - the replayer does not fit So I'll have to wait until tonight or tomorrow to try it out on my desktop computer.

Okay, I just resized Table.png, and now it fits the screen (although there is some overlap in the graphics obv). This is looking good already, and when more filters are added, it's going to be awesome!

Small issues: In the absence of images of chips representing the bets and calls made, I think it would be a good idea to make the "betting text" more prominent. Like making it a bigger font, bolding it, giving it a different background color, something along those lines. This might be less of an issue when there is no overlap, but as of right now, my bets show up right on top of my cards, and since bets are in red, and some cards are red, that makes it tough to read. But even with no overlap, I'd like to see some more emphasis on the bets.

Right now there are 6 buttons. Two of those I find the least important (go-to-start-of-hand and go-to-end-of-hand), whereas I miss 4: go to the next/previous hand in the list, and next/previous step in the hand. Right now you can only chose the automatic replay, or try to manually navigate through the hand using the slider. I have the mouse wheel set to scroll 3 lines at a time, so that means I'd really have to be doing this click-by-click.

Good work, that looks really, really promising

And I should expand on the button thing. At first I thought the buttons "|<<" and ">>|" were not working, since they didn't take me to the next hand, as I expected (although "|<" and ">|" might be more appropriate symbols for that?). I think using "<" and ">" to navigate step by step inside the hand would be best. If you want to keep the start- and end-of-hand buttons, I would consider labeling them "preflop" and "showdown"?

That'll do it. Still need to work on resizing and scaling.

Agreed, but it isn't at the top of the priority list at the moment. Patches always welcome.

In order i'm looking at start hand filter, pot size filter, and draw/stud support.

I've been looking at this for about a week, and I've only just realised the buttons do anything...

The interface is certainly up for discussion. Care to make a mockup of how you'd like it to look?

I am thinking about something like that:

but probably a little more polished with the buttons, from left to right: previous hand, rewind hand, previous action, start/pause animation, next action, fast forward to end of hand, next hand.

As you can see in the picture the highlighting is a mixed blessing when you suffer overlap, as it obscures 1-2 cards, depending on which seat you're in - but the cards are still distinguishable, it just takes a closer look when that's a 6 or an 8 under that box.

I just hacked along, so I do not have the changes I made separated, but it would be relatively easy to prepare a patch with the highlighting code for review, I just want to eat dinner first

Hey, I read A LOT OF POSTS here but couldn't find my problem that I have with FPDB.

Everything works fine and I get my hand summaries and such, but I am not able to zoom into specific hands. Like there is listed that I have played Q5o 17 times and a net loss about XY. So how can I go into those 17 hands to figure out in which spots I made a bad play?

Sorry to bother you guys, but it drives me nuts.

ah by the way I use FDPB V 0.26

Not for a while yet. The Hud itself pulls from an aggregated table, we could probably pull total stats against villian pretty easily, but not stats from point in time.

That will certainly be one of the features we will implement with the replayer..

Doesn't exist as a feature yet though.

That would be totally sufficient, imo. Obviously you'll lose some detail of information, but that still clearly trumps not having that information at all (or having to constantly switch tabs to load the stats of different players, if you do not remember them).

I have gone through all the instructions, imported all hands and etc from the HUD menu.
Where are instructions to actually get the HUD to show player stats while I'm in a game? I can't get it to actually turn on.

Thanks

If auto-import is running (and pointing at the correct hh directory) the HUD should appear.

Agreed.

Another question: is there a way to config the stats shown in the "ring player stats"? I tried adding stats to the config file but that didn't work.

Thank you, I did get it to work.

However I try to configure the "HUD Preferences" for "27_1draw" and it says "FPDB Warning" "If you had previously opened any tabe then cannot use the new settings without restart. Re-start fpdb to load them."
I keep restarting and closing all programs, but always get an error message.

Maybe I should ask first, will this even give HUD for 2-7sd husng's? Again, I am not using this for cash games, it is for husng's.

Thanks

Hi Sorrow I'm using ubuntu 11.04 and fpdb 0.26
I have problem while trying to "Getting started" from your site on ****************... i opened fpdb/pyfpdb and run ./fpdb.pyw (there is written to open /fpdb.py, but no such file in there). I'm using standard datebase (SQLite), did create/recreate tables and configured my site (I'm playing on java and my directory for hand history is /home/xxx/P5JavaClientSettings/handhistory, no directory for site path.
When I'm trying to import some hands from this directory by "Bulk Import"(one hand just like you written) It is importing for about 10 mins from now and nothing happens.

I was trying to find any solution on web, but no luck.
I'm not good in ubuntu(same in english), but I'm hoping you can help me ;-)
Cheers,
Leningrad_cowboy

Not at the moment. It is possible to hide stats using the config file but not add them at the moment.

Maybe?

I'm under the impression that the HUD for draw games works, but i've never tested it myself. I'm not sure we've seen a hh for a HUSnG for draw either.

Are you able to send me the hh? I should be able to get an indication of where the problem is then.

Which site are you configuring?

What 'Site filter:' have you selected from the Bulk Import screens drop down menu?

It sounds like the importer is crashing or finishing very quickly with no results, i'd like to confirm that you are attempting to import the file correctly first.

Short version - select 'Archive File' from the Bulk Import screen.

What happens is that FPDB splits the file into hunks based on multiple '\n's giving:
Hunk1: "Real HH"
Hunk2: "Hand #10416"
Hunk3: "Real HH"

The normal hh files don't contain that line.

That concerns me. I haven't found (or had reported) any accounting errors on Stars for since a single v triple draw issue about 6 months ago.

If you can supply a hh file that you know contains a discrepancy between what FPDB reports and the site is reporting i'll make it a top priority.

Alright, that makes sense

I just did another bulk import of all the HH files and it looks like it had missed ~750 of 65k hands. Numbers seem to be matching up now.

I figured it was just missing hands and assume there was a bigger problem when I saw the log file. I hadn't even noticed the 'Archive File' option

Thanks for your help
