Who's Paul? This abbreviation is hardcoded in Stats.py. So if you want to build your own custom version of FPDB, sure, it's possible.

PS: i seems to have a HUD problem when playing 10-Game cash games on Full Tilt Poker.
My hands are importing normally but the HUD is simply not showing at teh table

Only works some of the time. Also when people leave the table it screws everything up.

I came across this problem, namely: the program me turning it on and suddenly turn like this program then shows me a white screen of this program by 1 sec and turns off and nothing. I've tried reinstall, restore previously version, system restore and off antivirus, but nothing helped. Any advice? Please help

Anything in the log files? Look in "%appdata%\fpdb\log".

Have a look at your config file "%appdata%\fpdb\HUD_config.xml" and check that it looks ok. Does your poker screen name have funny characters in it? That might cause problems. Or possibly having fpdb not set to english could be a problem. You can try deleting the "%appdata%\fpdb\HUD_config.xml" file and running fpdb again.

As I turned this file HUD_config.xml it's was not there, so I removed it and ran again fpdb and running. Thank you very much !!! Now I can get on with the configuration.

Recently I have created my own stat set, just for 2-7 Single Draw.
It is working on PokerStars, HUD is displaying and everything is ok.
But it's not working for FullTiltPoker.
Hands are importing normally but the HUD is not displaying for this particular game variance.

Where do I have to start looking for to fix this problem?

I'd start by looking in the log files to see if it tells you what's going wrong. My first guess is maybe they are 5-max tables? And your HUD_config doesn't have a layout for 5-max? If this is the case you can search the thread and find a fix.

finally sick of HEM so have been reading through the codebase before having my go at writing a hand converter for WPN.

I'm pretty sure I can do this. It's just a bunch of regexs and you implement the abstract methods from the HandHistoryConverter class, which populates the Hand object with the data from the regexes.

One question though. I see each site needs a site id. I can't figure out where exactly I would have to set this. Is just having it as an attr on the handconverter class enough or do I have to put it in config somewhere or manually add a row to the db for available sites or something?

I see there are methods like add_site on the database and fpdb classes but as far as I can see they never get called anywhere...

also will it work with pokerstars or full tilt play money? I'd like some way of getting it working first obviously.

Check out the fillDefaultData method in Database. There might be other things you need to do, I haven't actually implemented a whole new converter myself. I think you would typically bump the DB version number when adding to this, for example.

I'm running the v.0.40.5 and can get the preferred seat feature working. Instead of my preferred seat, the HUD always appears on the actual seat. I've added my screenname and the numbers to the HUD_config file, saved the layout. Have i missed something?

I've also tried the v.0.41.xx (latest version), but the HUD doesn't show up. I'm running the Windows 10 beta version, not sure if that has an impact.


Other than that, the FPDB is outstanding, i much appreciate all the work to create a free software compatibel with basically any type of game.

Not sure. Try setting fpdb.exe and HUD_main.exe to run as administrator, if that's still a thing with win10.
