Pokerstars language needs to be set to English.

Nobody else has reported a problem like this. Is there anything in the log files? Help->Log Messages.

What version of FPDB, what operating system?

I just got it to work after several days of messing with it. Turns out it is as simple as running the install_fpdb.bat as administrator and the SWC client as administrator. fpdb.exe and run_fpdb.bat won't display HUD overlay for me when I run as administrator, or there will be an error on startup.

Thanks for the answer, PS.IT is indeed in English whereas fpdb is in a mixed Italian/English.
The guide I followed for installing it said to copy the file HUD_config.xml.example in the app data folder, I've done that and changed some stuff like pref seats and sites? Might it be I don't have the HUD installed, no window pops when I start the auto-import? I get these errors:

Maybe I missed something along my installation?

Does fpdb still not work with Carbon?

OK, you're using the GTK version. I don't know how that works on windows.

Option 1: Try running install_fpdb.bat - it might help. Maybe.

Option 2: Download my latest windows build from here (fpdb-win-blahblah.zip) and try running that.

Not sure. There is a merge network parser that has some Carbon stuff in it. Try it and see! If it doesn't work, send in a hand history.

I'm not sure what you mean? What/where is the parser? Until about 4 months ago I had no problems, but then the hh format changed and I can't import them anymore. I did send some hhs to chaz (?) but as far as I can find there hasn't been any updates to fpdb since then.

Oh, I see. Well, we can wait for Chaz to have time to work on it, or you can send me some hand histories and I will have a look (no promises though).

Edit: looks like chaz already fixed this! Fix should be included in my Qt releases, as linked in recent posts.

Sorry to be such a pain, but I can't find the updated version. The only link I found is http://****************/projects/fpdb/files/ but that says it hasn't been updated since 2013 and does not work for me. Is it possible to update the first post with the new versions?

This is still a work in progress, not an official release, so it's a bit early to update the OP I think. That said, there has been positive feedback from a few people and I am fixing things as people report problems.

Ignore that message. FPDB should still run. If it doesn't then there's probably something in your existing config that I'm not handling correctly yet. Is there anything relevant in the log files?

It keeps dying for some reason. I am getting parse error and it the fpdb starts lagging (not responding) and the HUD is no longer updating and isn't brought up when a new table begins.

This happens when I multi table (6 tables) and it happens always after a few minutes. Never happens when I single table.

It might be my PC fault but when I check task manager FPDB is not consuming a lot of ram/cpu and I am not close to 100% cpu/ram usage.

What version of FPDB is this? What poker site are you playing on?

I am fairly certain it's because my PC being to weak, it starts lagging and stop responding and I have to re-open it and same thing happens. It only happens with FPDB though. There will be no lag with pokerstars or for example if I had HD movie open it wouldn't start lagging. With pokertracker 4 trial version I did not experience lag. With HM2 trial version I experiences severe lag when trying to do at all on my entire computer but the HUD did not stop working.

EDIT: Also is there a way to make steal attempt only count as button or small bind and not cuttoff?

HUD stats are behind the poker table. I can click on them so they get in front but once action is required on the poker table or I click the poker table they get behind again. If I move the poker table they stay in previous location for a second then they move to the new location but again behind the poker table.

Windows 8, pokerstars, v0.41.0, I tried all of them. Are they meant only for macs?

I was able to reproduce this problem this morning, but when I came back to work on it this afternoon... it had fixed itself. I didn't change anything! Try restarting FPDB/pokerstars/your computer and see if it fixes itself? Meanwhile I will keep trying to work out what the heck is happening.

I restarted my PC but it didn't fix the issue. HUD was still behind the table. The HUD just goes behind the table. It doesn't go behind other items. When I tried moving it around to see if it stays it was above chrome or other windows/programs but as soon as you move it close to table it hides behind it.

Thanks for your patience with this. I will keep working on it and let you know if I solve the problem.
