Free new web app- Mobile HUD for live games

I've created a completely free web app to keep track of players' stats. Since it is a web app, all it needs is a web connection. This supports most browsers and should be able to be used with most smartphones. The only phone that I know it doesn't work on is the Pre's default browser.

Currently, this app will record a player's hands, VPIP, and PFR. It also allows you to save players and keep notes on them.

If you think this is a completely stupid idea, that's fine with me. I'm not trying to make any money off of this. It was done in my spare time for fun and to learn.

If there is enough demand, I will continue to make this better. Thoughts for the future include themes (the current design needs an update), color coding, offline support, and perhaps bankroll tracking, along with general speed and bug fixes.

Let me know if you find any bugs- please include your phone and browser information.

Awesome idea and looking great, however it does not work on my iPhone in its standard Safari browser. I can not click Raise, Call or even the menu. The only part of the interface that reacts on the iPhone is the blue button which I assume is fold. If you make it work on iPhone's Safari I'll be happy to donate

Should work now. If you could let me know if it works or not, that would be awesome since I don't have any iDevices

No, the UI is still not accepting any input except for the blue circle on the right

Argh, the first time it was Apple's fault. The last time it was mine. Try it one more time. It should work here, but if it doesn't I'll have to snag a friends iPhone and test it out myself

No luck mate, now even the blue buttons and the title link do not work any more.

Re: Free new web app- Mobile HUD for live games

I created this application for Droid and the iPhone, over a year ago. It's called "Donkey Tracker," and you can read about it here:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/45...-games-913832/

It's a bit disturbing that you chose to copy my design and functionality almost exactly. I would politely request that you avoid that, even if the web application is free. Mine is fully functional, easy to use, fast, works offline, and I put a crap-load of effort into it.

If anyone here feels they cannot afford the $4.99 price tag, send me a private message. I'd be happy to send you a free copy of the program.

Lyric, according to the istore your app hasn't been updated since February and I read that you were actually going to add 3bet stats but it looks like that never happened. Did you stop developing/supporting this app?

I'm still working on it. Trying to figure out the best way to add all the features that I want to include -- it's not easy to make the interface simple enough to use at the table. I'm trying to optimize it to make sure it remains functional when the new features are added.

Looks exactly like Donkey Tracker for iPhone which was released on the iPhone App Store over 13 months ago

How is it that the app looks and mimics an app released in 2010?

Re: Free new web app- Mobile HUD for live games

Donkey Tracker is only for iPhone over the App Store and this one is free and web based for use in any browser, they may basically do the same thing but in very different ways and competition is always good, think Poker Tracker vs. Holdem Manager. It is a good thing to have a choice of different flavors and I for one prefer this free and open web usable version and prefer donating for its development rather than buying Donkey Tracker on the App store because I think it looks silly. This web based program looks nice, does what I want and it should inspire the author of Donkey Tracker to either improve his program or make it free as well because it has not seen any updates in nearly a year now, to add a 3bet stat and make it look more sleek like this one instead of donkyish as it is now.

They do the same thing the same way. They both have buttons 1 to 10 down the left hand side. They both have a Raise and Call button next to each player. They both have VPIP/PFR/Hands stats next to the Raise/Call buttons. There has been no attempt at all to differentiate the design of the application and Lyric should seek legal recourse.

I repeat, please explain how this Mobile HUD is not a blatant rip off of Donkey Tracker. And tell me how Donkey Tracker "looks silly" but the Mobile HUD doesn't when they look exactly the same?

I think we know who the broke donkey is. I LOL at your bankroll if $5 stretches it.

Why are you so aggro about that? You should rather embrace plurality, obviously you do not prefer Openoffice to Microsoft Office, but that is your personal choice and there is no reason to get insulting and disrespectful towards me for applauding open and free software development.

There are dozens of software applications for poker alone that basically do the same thing for only poker, such as tracking online stats. Now there are these 2 applications for tracking live stats and no legal court in the world will care about their differences and similarities, don't be so silly
