Re: From an email I just got, possibly relavent to others

If some people will find this helpful then I can add this as an option very easily.

I am also gonna try to add something to re-tag 6max games as 6max (maybe an option, maybe a heuristic guess based on the seat positions for all previous hands at a table?), and in that case maybe yet another option which was for separating out observed .hhf and played .txt would be useful?

Re: From an email I just got, possibly relavent to others

Actually, I use the old-school lightning bolt importer from Poker Tracker, rather than the Party Poker chip icon.

I tell it to import my played hands from the Party Poker directory, where it imports the HHF's that Party writes. It puts these into my main (personal) DB.

I tell it to import observed hands from a different directory - where I tell the observed HHF's to go. I tell it to import these into an obs database. I have several obs databases.

I tell my HUD which obs databases to pull from. I don't pull from my personal played database - some of that data is very old, and all the new stuff is duplicated in my obs databases anyway.

juk any way you can get FreePHG to work with Empire Poker? Empire was just re-integrated back into Party ..I just tried and it wont work. I'd like to mine off Empire on one pc and off Party on another. I see I can open 12 tables on Empire but only 10 on Party.

I'll take a look right now (it should be very simple I guess).

Thanks for the feedback and hopefully soon my PC will be a little less "strained" by being able to mine one of each in the same user area.

Juk

EDIT: It appears that you can't open both at the same time, so ignore my "wishful thinking"!

Re: Steps required to use FPHG

I just downloaded this. I got it running and everything, but I can't figure out how to get the hands imported into PT. I can't find the folder from PT where the HH's are stored. Any help here?

the HHFs are writen in the directory you started FPHG from
the best way to import with PT is to use the lightning bolt and add the directory you have FPHG in

The idea (see here) about using a fake EmpirePoker.exe might also help too if your are having problems getting PT to set the folder (but I guess now Empire is merged then prehaps use PokerNow.exe or something like that?).

Re: Steps required to use FPHG

Hi Juk, I just dl'ed it as well. I start it (by clicking on the batch file) and then start the party client. I go to a table and wait but no grabs. I've read the readme and have the latest party client so what am I not doing right? TIA

Does FreePHG keep running (it should open a black command prompt box and stay open), or do you see it just pop up and close?

If it's running, make sure you're looking for the HHF's in the right place: the folder where you put FreePHG. They won't be in your Party folders, unless that's where you put FreePHG.

First try running without using the batch file and see if that helps or makes any difference.

If that fails to help, then try editing the batch file so that it looks like this:

FreePHG.exe -prof

And tell me if it is outputing anything while running (other than it's speed in hands/min).

If all else fails, then try editing the batch file to look like this:

FreePHG.exe -a 1

And tell me if that makes any difference.
