Re: New Free Software for Full Tilt: TableNinjaFT - Hotkeys and Utilities

I have a new deck available that is compatible with TableNinjaFT. It's been tested with the software by two players and so far works without any issues. I'm asking for just 5 bucks for my effort. Send me a PM if you are interested. I've included several screenshots below.

KGB Ninja

If you purchase this deck. I will send you a link that includes both 3D and 2D versions of the deck (3D pictured above), two versions of the "Ten" card ("10" or "T"), two version of spades (grey or yellow), and matching cardbacks.

I can vouch as one of the testers that the deck worked without any problems and looked very nice.

OMG, I laughed so hard at that picture. The Ninja pulling down his mask to smile is halarious.

TableNinjaFT - focus redirected?

Hi Tarath,
Can you please tell me why the focus gets redirected when I try to type into chat or the notes? It is very frustrating. It seems as though TNFT is using the clipboard to enter the betting amount. Often I will copy something to the clipboard and then it will disappear from the clipboard before I can paste it somewhere else. Sometimes when I am chatting I end up re-raising someone when I have no intention to do so. Is there anything I can do about it?
Thanks!

TableNinja does use the clipboard for pot betting. Unfortunately you cannot cut and paste other things if you are using the default bets or pot betting in between. You can switch to some other application, cut there, paste there and come back to poker but you cannot play poker inbetween.

We are working on this issue of focus stealing and at the moment we don't know why its happening. It seems to happen on some computers and not others, (for me it happens on 1 of my laptops and no where else) and we have not been able to isolate the cause.

For some people turning on "Let tables steal focus from other applications" on the "General" tab actually fixes the problem (I know this seems backwards).

A way to protect yourself from this problem is to assign enter to a "Cycling" hotkey or to the "Disable Hotkeys Toggle". This way tableninja blocks enter from ever reaching the full tilt client and you never have to worry about accidently reraising, but it makes it impossible to IM while you play. This is obviously a very mediocre temporary solution.

Basically we are looking into this problem (I've actually spent tmost of tonight on it) but we're still not at all sure what the cause is.

I'll let you know as soon as I know more.

Re: New Free Software for Full Tilt: TableNinjaFT - Hotkeys, Pot Betting, and Auto Time Bank

Hey,

i've tested TNFT the last hours and like it so far. Some minor things tho:
  • Add option to disable "Default Bets"
  • Add option to set Frame width (It's 1 or 2px too thick for my taste)
  • Fix the focus stealing*

* I always have a notepad up when playing to note players i want sharkscope after my session. I think thats impossible when using tableninja, right?

BTW is there a "perfect" key for the Disable Hotkey Toggle? I used End, but noticed i use it quite frequently when posting this

tedd_e, I like you mods

but I think we should form a gentleman's agreement to limit ourselves to posting links to the appropriate "Mods" thread so we don't jamb the TN thread

what do you think?

okay forget about that . Just read the documentation and saw that setting it 0 for every street disables it and there is an option to disable them in the General Tab.

I agree. I almost didn't post in this thread, but then I thought there might be folks that use TableNinjaFT that don't check the mods thread.

It looks like you already found the disable default bets option

We're currently overhauling the way TableNinja draws frames on the PS version which we will then port to TableNinjaFT and I think custom width should be something we can include in those changes.

The focus stealing is definitely our top priority for TableNinjaFT right now. We are almost done with a major update for the Stars version, and as soon as thats done we are going to dedicate all our time to figuring out the focus stealing issues and fixing them for good if at all possible.

I use F9 for the "Disable Hotkeys Toggle" and that works perfectly for me so give it a shot and see what you think

Re: New Free Software for Full Tilt: TableNinjaFT - Hotkeys, Pot Betting, and Auto Time Bank

Hi, I like the program but when I type the program starts beeping like crazy and also I just typed 'gg' during the last hand as i was leaving and when I hit enter it raised the pot (oops).

Why do there seem to be these hotkeys that are active even though I didn't activate them in the program?

Thx.

Hi,

The beeping is most likely because you did not select a "Table Layout" or "Full Tilt Table View" on the setup tab. TableNinja is trying to warn you that you missed a required setting and there should be a system tray pop-up along with the beeping. If you go to the "Setup" tab and make sure everything is set properly the beeping should stop.

Unfortunately "Enter" is a hotkey that is built into Full Tilt. "Enter" is always a hotkey that clicks raise if you have clicked the "bet box". Because TableNinjaFT is changing the bet amount for the default bets it will put focus in the betbox (or if you have highlight bet amount turned on in FT this will also put focus in the bet box). Once focus is on the bet box the "Enter" hotkey will also click bet.

We are working on solutions to the problem with hitting "Enter" while chatting and betting by accident, but for the time being you just need to be careful.

I hope this helps,

Re: New Free Software for Full Tilt: TableNinjaFT - Hotkeys, Pot Betting, and Auto Time Bank

Hey guys,

I just thought I'd mention that we have started working with both Fozzy and Bar Nuthin to start adding custom mod support to TableNinja.

We are starting by working to support some custom themes on Stars but we have a nice plan that we've worked out to eventually support a lot of custom mods on FT as well.

In the mean time you'll have to keep using some of the existing TNFT compatible decks/mods that have been created but in the future we hope to have a very robust system in place that will handle a wide range of mods.

Good. Glad to see that you guys are all working together. A ton of us use both the mentioned peoples mods and would love to have a more robust mod selection to be able to use. Keep up the good work!
