It clicks time even if it cannot see the time button because its behind another window, so no need to worry.

No, this would require a lot of new text recognition and will not happen any time soon.

Sorry,

Re: New Software: TableNinja - Hotkeys and Utilities for PokerStars

doesnt seem to be picking up my joystick butons, and I checked them in the control panels, the computer recognizes them...

Also, "run as administrator" is grayed out, so I have been just right clicking and hitting run as administrator but thats not as fun.

Hey,

Is the "run as administrator" button greyed out when you work from the executable or from the shortcut?

Try right clicking on the executable again and clicking properties. Then go to the compatibility tab and check the "Run this program as an administrator" checkbox at the bottom?

Right now we aren't detecting joystick buttons on our own, you need to use JoyToKey to map the joystick buttons to keyboard buttons and then TableNinja will pick those up. Its a free program you can download here: http://www.electracode.com/4/joy2key...%20Version.htm

At some point we may offer built in joystick support but given that JoyToKey works great and is free its not a high priority.

Thanks,

Tarath

How about color coding for opponents like on FTP and in this script:

You could assign F2 to call and the mouse button to the "click" middle button on the "Click Buttons by Location" section. This should do what you want.

There's no way to assign to hotkeys to the exact same action.

We're considering changing this but it would involve significantly changing how we handle hotkeys so it probably won't happen soon.

Thanks,

Re: New Software: TableNinja - Hotkeys and Utilities for PokerStars

Hopefully no one else has suggested this already. I play a lot of tables and so there are a lot of hand histories to slog through. Just wondering if it would be possible for you to build in an feature that would 'save' the current hand (history) being played and send it to a designated folder. This would be very useful for people who like to post hands online etc.

Thank you for the suggestion, but if I don't have to spend another $55 for this feature that would be nice.

summerIII idea is great , im not sure but i think theres already an AHK script that saves the previos hand to a .txt file... if u can copy the script and implement to tableninja it'd be nice....
another thing that would help me a lot (probably someone already asked u that) is a "never fold" button... btw, this program is great , best thing ever for multitablers, my roi increased a lot, i can play many more tables /faster/ and my arms doesnt hurt anymore if i play too much

oh.. and i also would like to know if i can disable the other table frames (but keep only the targeted table frame red)... im using overlaped tables with frammes so my screen gets all messy with black lines where the colors were before, but thats the only way i can know where is the action , cuz when i was not using this feature i made some mistakes (folded in another table cuz i thought the action was in another one)... the urgenttable ahk script doestn have the same problem tho, its works ok even with overlaped tables.. i tried disabling ur frames and use both programs together, but when i tried it the problem now was that the targeted red table sometimes wasnt the real table with action.. another "solution" i found to my problem is to use the "jump mouse to foreground table" so i know wheres the action but the problem is that the mousepoint is too hard to see

Re: New Software: TableNinja - Hotkeys and Utilities for PokerStars

Bug report :

This didn't work for me, i had an error msg when it was my turn to play : "input string was not in a correct format" and in the error log :

17:35:11 : title: Ilse - $0.05/$0.10 - No Limit Hold'em - Logged In as Dawme
17:35:11 : game: Holdem, cash: True, limit: NoLimit, sb: Non Numérique, bb: Non Numérique, tourney: False, tourney_id:
17:35:14 : Theme set to HyperSimple

I suspected it had to do something with the fact that I'm using a french win xp and our decimal separator is a dot and not a comma, so I changed my regional settings to english and indeed, it now works.
Hope this helps.

Re: New Software: TableNinja - Hotkeys and Utilities for PokerStars

Hi -

I just tried out your PokerNinja software and liked it - I think this will be much easier on my hands.

I have a suggestion regarding the interface. I have played on Absolute Poker and they have some features I really like.

Instead of {fold, check, call, bet} they also have raise: {fold, check, call, bet, raise}. Furthermore, only the appropriate buttons work. So

* facing a bet hitting "bet" does nothing. You need to hit {fold,call,raise}
* Facing no bet pressing call or raise does nothing. You need to hit {check,bet}

In my opinion, this makes the interface "safer" and reduces the number of misclicks thus increasing the accuracy of the play. For backwards compatibility you could allow users to map {bet, raise} to the same keys (similar to how you do {check, call} but with the exception above) and have an option (on by default) to allow "fold" to check when appropriate.

In regards to the privacy issue I think never needing to connect to the internet is required. A one-time activation is acceptable, perhaps using something similar to PokerTracker, which is generating a unique, small, string based on computer properties. Then you simply need to submit this string to your website and receive an activation code. In this method PokerNinja never needs to contact the internet. Removing the need for administrator privledges would also help - perhaps you can make them required only when changing your setup (if possible). This would allow users to switch to limited accounts when running the software and playing poker (on XP, Vista should enable this).

Just my two cents,

-- Terry

Hmm we can definitely work on making TableNinja manage the time bank more optimally. Your help would be really valuable on this one. Any info you could find for us on exactly how things work and exactly when we should be clicking the time button for all the table types would really help us get this done more quickly.
been working on this with hotkeys...u want to wait ~8 seconds from when the timebank pops up to when u hit it...basically u get 15 seconds to act then timebank comes up then u get 12 seconds then timebank would have to start or u time out...then 15 secs of timebank...although the guy i quoted is wrong...and u would get the same amount of time either way...bc the difference is that the time bank will stay highlighted yet not drain down rather then not be highlighted until later

this being said for other reasons...being that it annoys me and some of my opponents when its clicked right away...im working on trying to get dav e help me with this...i haveabout a 3 second delay now but if it delayed for like 8 seconds it would be great

PM me if u want me to explain more on this...hopefully will eventually replace all my hotkeys with ur program..will come chack the threead klater this week and see how were doing

This is a cool idea. We have some ideas for adding a whole table information / player information section to TableNinja someday and this would fit into that very nicely.

Its probably not going to happen soon though, for now we want to get all the hotkey/frame/pop-up handling stuff done first, before we start adding any new information display type stuff.

By "never fold" do you mean it always clicks check on the pop-up that appears when you try to fold for free? The fold hot-key should be clicking check and not fold when checking is possible (unless you're using the click buttons by location hot-keys) so ideally this should never be an issue. If the fold hotkey is not doing this let me know as that would be a bug.

Thanks, all the support we're getting from you guys is really encouraging. I had problems with my arms a few years back and they got really bad, it was absolutely terrible, so if TableNinja can keep that from happening to someone else that would be incredile.

We are planning to overhaul our frames. We came up with a much better way to do everything and we think its going to be really cool. Unfortunately, the way things are right now adding the option to disable the black frames would be a lot of work and we'd rather put that time into redoing our frames. The new frames are going to be way nicer, they should never artifact or show up on top of other tables, but it is going to take a little time so please be patient.

Anyways, thanks for all the support and suggestions guys, I added all of them to our list and we're just going to keep on working and improving TableNinja. Keep in mind we have a ton of stuff we'd like to add and improve and only so much time so we won't be able to add everything everyone wants right.

Thanks,

Tarath

-1 to direct all numpad input to betbox by default
+1 hotkey for clearing and activating bet box
The method starshotkeys uses solves both problems. Tableninja can go ahead and prefill the 'default' betsize as it does now. If any numpad activity is detected, the first keypress clears the entire betbox and begins entry into it. Subsequent keypresses (numpad only) are appended to the betbox entry. If the table loses focus and then regains focus, the first subsequent keypress (numpad) clears the betbox and begins the entry process again.

This way everyone gets what they want without an extra hotkey necessary to clear the betbox and begin entry (assumption that those that don't want to type a bet will not have another use for the numpad of course).

I can confirm this with extensive experience now. It even catches the table if an all-in situation exists (no bet scroll-bar) unlike the other assistant programs I was using before. This alone is well worth the price of the software (which is way too low but then again poker people do tend to be cheap).

We do a fair amount text-processing and we often look for specific characters like decimals. Right now there are likely to be problems if you do not have your regional settings set to English. I will add this to our documentation and Faq so its more clear. Thanks for the bug report, I really appreciate it.

I used to play on AP too, and its true their interface does reduce misclicks. I''ll have to think carefully about how this can be structured but I'll definitely consider it.

We are planning to make connecting to the internet optional except for a one time activation once the beta ends.

This is a good idea for how to handle this. I think its definiately something we can do.

Thanks guys!

Table Ninja has on the Annoyances Tab "Sit Out On Next Hand". I believe when I've triggered this, it effects only the active table? How about adding it like Stars Planners "Sit Out On All Tables"...so one click sits out all tables.

Re: New Software: TableNinja - Hotkeys and Utilities for PokerStars

oh i didnt know about that fold function, that works perfect....
i found a thing that i think its a bug (not sure tho, but i found it about in a bad way): i set the hotkeys to leftarrow downarrow and rightarrow... and rightarrow was named as Right (which is the same of the mouserightclick)... so when i was using the mouse and clicked Rightbutton at the table (to change seats) and it acted like i pressed the rightarrow, so i tested again and i found out that both keys are doing the same thing...
