Re: New Software: TableNinja - Hotkeys and Utilities for PokerStars

Hey tarath sorry to be a pest, but any ETA on when you'll get a chance to implement the "stop registering for sngs @ X:53 till X:00 every hour so we can go for a pee/food break when grinding instead of having a random sng pop up registering making us live in our rooms and stinking of pee from an overflowing pee bottle?

Thx

I've had these problems playing tiled tables with no overlap. But I would prefer some other layout.

Would stacking my tables over the same screen area eliminate this problem, since I would only see one table? I wonder, because there does seem to be an order of tables the action applies in in sequence.

What am I doing wrong or need to understand?

Thanks!
If you are new to the program and tile your tables I recommend going to the "Table Control" tab and switching into the "Table Under Mouse" Table Control mode. This mode sends all hotkey actions to the table that your mouse cursor is over so its very hard to get confused or misclick.

Another option is to use the "Table in Foreground" mode and stack or cascade so that it is very obvious which table is "on top" and all your hotkeys will go to the table on top. If you stack your tables it is nearly impossible to have any confusion about which table you are targetting.

I don't think there's any key concept you're missing. Hotkey actions are always sent to the table framed in red and when tables queue up awaiting action, if you are in the "Table in Foreground" mode, TableNinja targets them in the order it became your turn.

I hope this helps

To be honest I haven't put time into this feature yet, although after reading your vivid story of your pee filled room I feel guilty.

Is there any reason that you cannot just hit "stop" on the Sit-n-Go opener at X:53 if you need to pee and then hit start again when you get back? What if we made the "Run Minutes" not go to 0 when you hit stop

Re: New Software: TableNinja - Hotkeys and Utilities for PokerStars

At the moment thats what I do, but tbh I then am stupid and sometimes get so zoned into the games I forget to click it, or if I do click it I forget till like ten past to reclick it when I realise I've only got 15 or so games running. Kinda nittish but I need to maximise my $EV.
Plus I need to maximise my womanEV and having a pee smelling room is -WomanEV.

Tableninja with Aero not working...

Vista Basic Theme and Aero have stopped working on my comp for some reason (I dont exactly know why) and im getting a lot more lag when I have 20+ tables on the go, normally there is no lag whatsoever, but there is definitely enough to put me off my rythm now.

I know Tableninja requests you use Aero, and im wondering if the lag is due to tableninja and not my system?

Thanks in advance if anyone can help.

Re: New Software: TableNinja - Hotkeys and Utilities for PokerStars

Great Program Tarath! I've been a single table player for years and your program has really helped after only 2 days of use.

As I am still trying to navigate the features I was wondering how do I get the tables to "stack". The Stars menue gives me the option to cascade or tile only.

I noticed after I initially loaded TN it gave me a screen to select my table layout (Tile, cascade stack etc..) I selected tiled I think?? Is this a once only install feature or have I missed something?

Thanks Again

p.s. I have gone to the set up tab and selected stacked on the table layout drop down box but the tables dont stack as the games load so I have to drag them with the mouse to achieve the stack.

Haha, WomanEV made me lol

To be honest this probably isn't going to be our top priority in the new future but I totally get that it would be very easy to forget to hit start again when you sit back down so I will keep this on my list of features and we'll get to it when we can.

TableNinja does have to do more work when you are not in Aero so it is possible that this is causing lag.

Generally if Aero suddenly turned off for no reason it is because you ran a program that has "Disable desktop composition" checked in the "Compatibility" tab of the "Properties" menu. I recommend right clicking PokerStars and clicking properties and making sure that all the boxes on the "settings" section of the "Compatibility" tab are unchecked.

If that doesn't help, the next major update is going to contain a major performance upgrade which should be more than twice as fast as the current version. If you would like to join our beta testers group you can get early access to the next update and see if the performance upgrade helps you. We've hoping to get the next update out to our beta testing group within the next few days. Instructions for how to become a beta tester are on the TableNinja forums here: http://tnforums.tableninja.com/showthread.php?t=66

Glad you like the program

TableNinja does not actually stack tables for you. That setting on the setup tab is just there so that you can tell TableNinja how your tables are set up so that it can optimize its performance.

However, I have written a little guide on how to use the built in Stars table layout tools to stack your tables for you. Its very easy, especially if you use one of TableNinja "set table aside" hotkeys. You can read my detailed instructions here: http://tnforums.tableninja.com/showthread.php?t=201

You can use TableNinja with a game controller but you will need to use a program like Xpadder or JoyToKey (both of which have free versions) to convert your gamepad input into keystrokes. Basically you can use those programs to assign a button on your gamepad to the "A" key. Then assign "A" to a hotkey in TableNinja. Once you have done that hitting the button on your gamepad will trigger that hotkey in TableNinja.

I am working on making a quick tutorial video to demo exactly how to set this up. I've been extremely busy but hopefully I will get to it soon.

Thanks!

Thanks for buying!

I'll definitely keep the shiny theme in mind as we work on expanding theme support.

Tarath
Thanks for your reply Tarath. There are no programs running that I can find that have had destop comp disabled. I have no idea what I have changed to make vista basic and aero dissapear from the visual settings menu. I have tried system restore and been all over web forums and suchlike trying to find a solution to no avail. If anyone else has had a "Visual Styles could not be Applied" problem with aero, any help would be much appreciated.

I did a little bit of reading on this and it sounds like the aero theme can disappear for a couple of reasons.

I'd try the advice in the bottom post on this thread: http://www.vistax64.com/vista-genera...disappear.html

Re: New Software: TableNinja - Hotkeys and Utilities for PokerStars

this software is great. I've been using it for the last few months and I really love it

I don't love that I still have to see the registration trial screen and click through it every time I start the program though. This should just not pop up any more once you register

also a feature I would like to see : join every cash table of a certain type. I usually will just join almost every waitlist for 50bb cash games, and then decide whether I want to sit once the table pops up and I have a look at it. Could you add a feature like this to autojoin the waitlist for every game of your choice?

Glad you are enjoying the program

The registration/update notification screen should only come up if either

1) You are using the free trial
OR
2) You have not updated to the latest version

If you are running the latest version (right now version 1.1.56.0) TableNinja should just launch without any registration popup.

Adding features that auto-open cash games is a bit tricky because stars wants to ensure that they could not be used for datamining. I'll ask them if a "Join every waitlist in the lobby" kind of feature would be allowed in conjunction with the existing auto-wait list handling tools.

Thanks for the feedback,

Tarath
