Oh yeah I probably should have mentioned that we currently don't support omaha, I've added it to our FAQ. We currently have it disabled for Omaha because none of our closed beta testers played omaha and we weren't comfortable releasing something that hasn't been tested thoroughly.

If you'd be interested in us enabling the program for Omaha and sending you a copy by email to test out that would be awesome. We don't anticipate any problems, as far as we know everything should work exactly the same. If things went smoothly for you then we'd then enable Omaha for everyone.

Send me a PM if your interested.

Thanks and sorry for the confusion,

Re: New Software: TableNinja - Hotkeys and Utilities for PokerStars

So I understand things:
I have to use the classic table theme
I cannot overlap windows in XP
I cannot use this currently for Omaha

I have DL'd the beta, but these are pretty big for me. I use hyper simple theme (not sure how my various HUDs will look on classic, I use one of three HUD's depending on game/structure/number of players. Also, I play a lot of PLO and I often cascade my tables. I plan on giving this a try in any regard pretty soon.

Unfortunately because of the way Fulltilt's and PokerStars software work, supporting all mods on FT is reasonably doable whereas as doing it on stars is extremely difficult.

Fulltilt's UI contains registered windows buttons. You can download a program like winspy++ and find out how to control the FullTilt buttons directly no matter where they are and what they look like.

PokerStars UI is basically a picture as far as windows can tell. You actually have to grab the images from the screen and write code to look at the picture and parse it and then send mouse or keyboard input to points on the screen. Furthermore the fonts used in all the text including the display of the pot size can change, so being able to read different fonts and process different images to find the button text, pot size, and cards is generally going to be extremely hard.

A lot of things are much much harder to do on Stars and unfortunately there are some things that just aren't possible on Stars, even things that might be pretty easy on FT.

Also keep in mind that FTSC is on their 3rd commericial version while this is the first day of our beta. FTSC has been in development for years so obviously we aren't going to be able to match them feature for feature on our first day.

We want to support as many mods and themes as we can, however there is a trade off. If we add a feature like a Sit and Go opener every single SnG player can use that feature and enjoy it where as when we add support for a new mod our existing users who use things we already support don't get anything out of it.

Re: New Software: TableNinja - Hotkeys and Utilities for PokerStars

Hey guys,

We have an updated version of TableNinja now that we think works with Omaha and Omaha H/L. If anyone wants to test it out send me a pm with your email and I'll send you a link.

Once we've had a few people test it for a few days we'll add it to the next major update we're planning which will hopefully be in about a week and include a lot of the stuff people have asked for so far.

Thanks

I don't think I have microsoft .net framework. Can I just download the bootstrapper or do I need the full package?

We worked this out over email but I thought I'd put a brief answer here in case anyone else has a similar issue.

It appears that without the .NET framework you need to install .NET, reboot your machine and then un-install and re-install TableNinja.

Most people have .NET so we don't have a lot of experience in dealing with this issue so if anyone else is having trouble because the don't have .NET installed and what I suggested above doesn't fix the problem, definitely let me know and I will try and help you out.

I assume adding hyper-simple is what the most people would want but if you guys have other suggestions feel free to let me know. Once we have a good sense of what people want we'll get to work on adding it.
Is the Slick theme out for regular users? Stars asked me to beta something so I'm not sure if that theme is out for regular customers yet but I can see it becoming the de facto standard for HUD users. Much "simpler" than Hypersimple.

I'm glad you mentioned that because that's a dealbreaker for me too. I'm sure it connects to verify registration or whatever but I'm not willing to take that chance.

Re: New Software: TableNinja - Hotkeys and Utilities for PokerStars

Hey Guys,

As you know, PokerStars Updated today and broke a lot of programs. We've tested TableNinja and as far as we know the only issue is with the "Right Click" hotkey. If you assign right click to a hotkey it will open the Themes menu.

We're almost positive this can be fixed by tonight, but most likely in a way which would make right-click not work in other applications when a table is targeted. (more notes to follow).

As long as your not using right click as a hotkey, everything should work perfectly (including all our Pot-Betting tools), so you can keep using TableNinja as usual.

I'll buy this program immediately if you can get it working with this theme and this cardmod. Hell I'd even buy 2 copies.

If this program can be made to work with the default stars no images theme, than my theme 'should' work, as it uses the same buttons (so I could be sure betpot would work). The only difference at that point would be the grey background behind the hero stack amount in the upper left corner.

I certainly do not mean to be rude, as this program looks very nice. But how can we be sure that it is not stealing information or looking at our computer screens while we play?

Is this just one of those trust things?

Looks like a great program though, and again, I do not mean to offend anyone.

This is a very valid question and don't worry, I am not at all offended.

I understand that privacy is a major issue, however to check for updates and validate purchase codes, TableNinja does need to connect to our server.

TableNinja connects to the internet in the following cases:

1. On start-up.
2. When you open the Purchase/Update menu.
3. When you use your purchase code to unlock the full version.

These transactions are brief and no private information is transmitted save the email address used to purchase TableNinja.

We encourage users who are worried about privacy to run any kind of internet monitor like ZoneAlarm to verify that TableNinja only connects at these times and that the amount of data transmitted is far far too small to contain any sensitive poker data (the amount of data we send is much smaller than the hand history file from a single hand).

Unfortunately we don't know of any way to 100% prove that our software doesn't contain any spyware. Like you said to some extent you may have to trust us. You can also look on this thread if you like and see that we have happy users who are using the program. If anyone has suggestions as to other ways for us to demonstrate that TableNinja contains no spyware or malicious code we welcome them.

I understand that for some people, a program like TableNinja that connects to the internet simply posses to big a risk. That's their choice and we understand and respect it. We also believe that most people are trusting people and will give TableNinja a chance.

If you have any other questions about this issue definitely let me know, we will do whatever we can reasonably do to demonstrate that TableNinja is safe.
