Re: Table Optimizer

Preset bets missing....at least in my opinion

- preflop by Position

- 3bet splitted in IP/OOP

- 4bet

- reraise Flop/Turn/River

Will this program also work with stacked tables and will it have hotkeys for setting tables aside to specified slots?

It will work, but right now there is no build in mechanism to cycle tables so you would have to use pokerstars hotkeys for that.
Set table aside function will be added.

This looks seriously awesome. Are you planning a version that will work with some US friendly sites? Especially Bovada and Black Chip Poker? I would definitely buy that.

Re: Table Optimizer

Hi,

This looks like a great solution for Pokerstars!

However, am having problems getting started. The log window repeatedly says "Error: Table not found." when I open a Pokerstars table (tried with both Nova and Classic Theme). It does detect something, because when I remove the Pokerstars table the error messages stops coming.

Table Optimizer v.0.9.1.0.BETA
Pokerstars.eu version: 7.1.2.5
(Both running as Administrator, Pokerstars language is English).

I can't find any log file that is being created.

Please let me know how to get around this or help you find the bug as this when reading about the features, together with Pokerstars own hotkeys, looks like a great solution for Stars.

Re: Table Optimizer

Thanks for your feedback I'm just looking into that.
For now try selecting show HUD option and tell me if you can see it on the table.
You can also pm me your skype or other way of direct contact.

Re: Table Optimizer

A followup to my previous post: problems now solved, and TableOptimizer works like a charm. Wasn't even a bug, but rather a misunderstanding of how the software works (you have to start TO before opening any Stars tables). Besides that some other small setup issues, but the developer has been very eager and responsive to help, so support is very good.

Now had two longer sessions, and very impressed with this for multitabling Stars. Has all of the functionality needed (combined with builtin Stars functionality for some hotkeys) and feels very solid.

I am sure this will be the new standard for Stars multitabling software (and yes, I've tried both the Ninja and Tamer alternatives). Great software!

I just hope noone tires to convince the developer to try and make this work for other sites, because that never ends well (KeyPoker, TN2, Tamer etc etc). Just keep this stable and working for Stars, and everyone will be happy!

Re: Table Optimizer

This looks okay, and you have a bajillion hotkeys, but none for "call", "bet" and "fold"?!? And you should have an option to have those "call", "bet" and "fold" hotkeys sent to the table under mouse or active table. Are you planning to add this? ETA?

Re: Table Optimizer

Also, being able to use hotkeys for different bet sizes would be useful... ie press one hotkey to put in a 50% bet, 65% bet, 80% bet on flop/turn/river. You many want an "auto click bet button" checkbox on that... like TN1.

All of these hotkeys are already build in PokerStars client and can be send to table under mouse.

Re: Table Optimizer

After using TO for 3 sessions, I am very impressed. The features I particularly like are:
* there is no lag, even with 20+ tables - possibly because I am using Stars for hotkeys now instead of TN or SaT
* the auto-timebank works great - not sure if it's because I'm using it in a pseudo-tile mode. The TN timebank is crap for people who tile/overlap because if the button is not visible it's not clicked.
* I really like the blue borders for timebanked tables.
Overall, I think your product is the best for people who solely want to multitable Stars, and I would buy when you are ready. Especially if you take care of the following:

BUGS:
* there does not seem to be a "stack all" hotkey, or the "stack" hotkey does not work. It would be nice to tile all tables to see what is going on on all the tables and resume the smart stack mode at the click of a button. I have to manually move the tables back from tile mode to stack mode.
* some tables seem to get "stuck" from time to time (for example a new table if I do not have "move new table to stack" box checked) - when I click the stack/grid key it does not move. I have to manually drag it.
* not a fan of the preset bet interface, where you have to re-enter the entire preset bet. I think you should be able to double-click that particular setting and modify it directly.
* not sure if this is you or Stars, but sometimes, the table will tell me to pick a seat (I won't be auto-seated). sometimes, I'm playing too many tables to notice and I don't get a chance to take a seat.

FEATURE REQUESTS:
* the "I'm back" tables should appear in the grid and not stay in the stack (not sure if it's because I didn't have "run as administrator" checked the first time I ran it.) Same for any table where everything is not "running smoothly" - ie a table you may have been removed from, a table you were watching, etc.
* just checking that new tables automatically go to the grid, and not the stack, unless the checkbox is ticked.
* what is the HUD? it just has the table name.

MY BIGGEST GRIPE:
In smartstack mode, the tables that are moved to the grid should be the ones where ACTION IS PENDING, not WHEN YOU ARE DEALT HOLE CARDS. Or at least have that be an option you can check/uncheck. Advanced Action is for multitabling noobs - I don't want to see the table unless I have to act - it's also less clutter on the screen and less eye movement for me.

But overall, very nice work.

Re: Table Optimizer

and I forgot to mention a bug:

* the way a squeeze is calculated should not be the same as a 3bet. most people 4x (or so) when squeezing 2 players, for example.

Yes, what stack hotkey currently does is it assigns tables to stack/slot mode and moves them to stack if they weren't assigned already. I'm going to change that.

Are you playing sng/mtt? There some bugs in detecting that player has taken a seat which I'm currently working on.

Yes that would be better but It's not that you have to set it everyday.

TO is not doing anything with taking seat.

That will be done.

Don't understand, could you explain?

Hud is used for moving/closing/tiling tables when there is no titlebar.

Soon there will be a mode in which tables are moved to slots when you put money into pot.

Re: Table Optimizer

Thanks for making the changes. A few replies/comments:

* I play cash games (nlhe) fwiw.
* New tables going into the grid - as a default, Stars seems to open a new table in the location of previous tables. Since most tables will have been in the stack when it was closed, I don't want a new table to be open in the stack - because I want to see it before I decide if I want to stay on the table. Not sure if you know, but like half the new tables end up closing down because the people leave (because the fish leave or whatever), so if I get seated at a new table, I want to look at it, determine if it looks like it is breaking up, and decide if I want to stay/leave. So ideally, I would like for a new table to open in the grid - this way I can look at it. If it is in the stack, smartstack could put new tables on top of it, if I don't see the new table right away and I act on another table first.
* Smartstack modes: I think it is possible that some people may like the existing mode (table moved to the grid when dealt hole cards). I had suggested a "table moved to grid when action pending", which I think is better. Your new suggestion of "table moved to grid on vpip" might be better than my suggestion. The only thing is, there are a lot of hands where you raise preflop and it gets folded through - so there might be a lot of tables moving around the grid all the time (assuming the tables go back to the stack when the hand is folded out - can't remember if the table goes back to the stack immediately or after the next hand because of "fold detection"). I'm thinking that having a "table moved to grid when see flop" would be best - this way there is very little eye movement and table clutter, but you see all the important hands in the grid. And you can play all preflop from the stack. Not sure if you want to put all 4 modes on there and let people pick, or if that is a lot of work, in which case, my preference would be in order: 1) "move to grid when see flop", 2) "on vpip" and 3) "on action".
* Squeezing: I think the formula should be something like "Ax pfr size + B per cold caller above 2" would work for me. If you are going to add an IP/OOP like for 3 and 4 bets, you can add "+ C big blinds" to the equation.

Another bug:
I had been getting the following error message in the log window at start-up. The program works fine though:
PokerStars.com, version: 7.1.8.3 (incompatible)
The latest compatible versions are PokerStars.eu 7.1.2.5
, PokerStars.com 7.1.0.6

Thanks again for the hard work. I'll put in a good word for you in the TN alternatives thread, since that's how I found TO.
