This post explains how to copy and paste message board hand histories. I don't claim that it works with every format, but if you find one that does not work send me a link.

I've spent some time playing with SNGWiz, trying to understand how it work and I think I may have found a bug :

The BB and the SB are calling push with 21+ and 16+ respectively.

If I push with the button SNG Wizard say I have 74.8 % fold equity but when I do the math I find 66.36 % :

P(BB and SB folding) = 1 - ( (P(BBCallPush) + P(SBCallPush)) - P(BBCallPush and SBCallPush) )

SNGWizz say BB has the same calling range for on and two push calling, I'm fine with that. So :

P(BB and SB folding) = 1 - ( (0.21 + 0.16) - P(0.21*0.16) )
P(BB and SB folding) = 1 - (0.37 - 0.0336) = 1 - 0.3364 = 66.36%

Also, I'm wondering about the way SNG Wizard calculate the calling range when a player limp in EP-MP and call a push from LP.

You should be using Hold% in your calculations instead of Range%. Range% is the percentage of hands the opponent will play. Hold% is the percentage of time your opponent has a hand in his range after the hero's hole cards are removed from the deck.

I am not sure what you are asking in your second question. Can you be more specific?

Thanks for your answer.

Sorry but English is not my first language, I will try to be more understandable. About my second question, here is an example :

UTG call, button Push. How the range of UTG is calculated ?
I know that if UTG called/raised, he must be more likely to call a push but how does SNG Wizard compute that ?

This kind of range is not in the opponent model : http://img23.imageshack.us/img23/9273/question1.png

The Wizard primarily uses the ratio of the opponent initial bet to his effective stack. The larger the ratio, the closer Call% is to Open%.

Hey, I purchased SNG Wiz and really wanna get better at learning how to use it for improving my game. The only problem that I have is adjusting opponent ranges. I generally find it kind of hard to get accurate ranges. I do not want to assign certain ranges to players that aren't accurate and get misleading info. Any tips/help on this subject?

Every time when someone posting (converted) hand history and I copy it and then past it (click on the brief case icon) in to SNG wiz, the button icon is always off by couple of seats, you can try it your self. Just copy someones converted hand history (from 2+2)and then try it.
P.S. When I reviewing my own(not converted) hand history I do not have that problem... may be the issue with the hand converter not the wiz??

Hey, I'm playing SNG at FullTilt and Pokerstars and using Holdem Manager;
After the session when I import the hands into sngwizard it only shows the hand histories from FullTilt. I tried to open the pokerstars hand histories with sngwizard and it just scans them and nothing happens.
Has anyone had this problem? How can I fix it?

HEM is moving the hand history files to another folder after it imports them. Are you opening the HEM folder that contains the hand histories.

Also, you will get quicker answers if you post your question in the sngwiz.com forums.

Please submit a bug report:

1. Run the debug version of the Wizard by selecting Start->All Programs->SitNGo Wizard->SitNGo Wizard (Debug Mode).
2. Reproduce the problem in a few steps as possible.
3. Exit the Wizard.
4. Fill out the bug report form and press Send.

Hey,
First post...been lurking for quite a while.
I have a question about sng wizard...I know some sites offer it free when you sign up but can you only use it for that site or can you use it for any site you play on? Also, do you need to deposit money before you get the wizard?
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum but like I said, I'm new.
Any help would be great..thanks in advance.

You can use the Wizard with any supported poker site. The free offers require you to open a real money account and make a minimum deposit.

I am using my 30 day trial of SNGWiz now and it does not recognize my games from Bodog. I am using the handgrabber and HM for recording my hand histories.

Is there a way I can convert BD hangrabber games to a format that SNGWiz recognizes? I am going to ask on the SNGWiz forum, but my log in has not been approved yet.

Thanks

On a side question, does anyone know if HM can use the BD grabber for Omaha? I doubt it, but I figure I ask
